Odds this afternoon at Stations Casinos; $20K limit:
Mayweather+140; Pac-man-160. Mosley-250/Berto+200. May-Pac MUST go in 2010 for action.

I think I'll come into town w/bodyguard in tow...lay 20 k on Money @ +140 @ Stations then head across town and lay 20 k on Pac @ +150 @ Andreys casino. If my math is correct, isn't that an 8k at worst or 10k at best, guaranteed winner? Let's go to Vegas Paulie!

Only one problem Romi, fight must go by feb 28, 2010 where odds +150. So your money might be stuck for couple months for nothing.

No MIGHT about it Andrey. I knew there had to be a catch somewhere. So essentially the casino KNOWS the fight won't take place by then but they get to hold on to some free dough until feb 28. Without starting a whole new topic, I won't be sending out Xmas cards to any gambling institutions.

Kramden you seems to be right every time when Pac fights. You even picked Pac over Oscar when many thought that to think that just plain nuts:D What is your opinion who will prevail Pac or Floyd?

I like Pacquiao. I think he'll run him right out f the ring. I thought that when Pacquiao moved up in weight it was the best thing he could do. He was killing himself to make weight and that compromises someone a lot. I felt that when he moved up, he would bring his skill and speed with him. His physical presence and strength seem to be underrated. And now he is a master boxer with his unique style. Look at the punch stats since he moved up - off the charts. He out landed Cotto by a 2-1 margin - unreal. I think people still see him as a featherweight but that was a different guy. I think the Cotto that just got mugged would have given Floyd a highly competitive fight, if not beaten him. Cotto might be diminished to a degree but he still got by Joshua Clottey, who we all know is strong and formidable, he ate up a solid UK guy prior to that. Only Margarito, who may have been crooked, got over on him, and it wasn't easy. Cotto turned back a juiced up Shane Mosley in a grueling battle.( I have an eye for that, and in my opinion Shane was on something for that fight.) And look at what Pacquaio did to a well prepared and in shape Cotto. It's staggering when you think of it all.

"I've thought about Mayweather for a long time now," Roach told ESPN.com from his Wild Card gym in Hollywood, Calif., on Monday. "He's the ultimate opponent. His style does pose some problems because he's very good at what he does. But after seeing Manny with Cotto, Manny showed he takes a punch well. We'll definitely knock Mayweather out. He'll break down. He can't stand up to Manny's pressure. He won't last as long as Cotto."

Freddie Roach, already making predictions about a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout. Roach adds that Pacquiao has more balls than Mayweather.

As Romi stated, it's useless as NO WAY they get all the ducks in a row by then. Every top venue in the country will be trying to get this, let alone all the other negotiations that have to take place. What a crock of poop. At least with Stations
they give you ALL of 2010 for it to take place, and I don't see this till spring or summer. Anything can happen in 6 months. Pac could be mayor or Mayweather could crash one of his 20 cars.

"the bunker"
let me add...we ought to all slow down a bit here....the consensus was that oscar was a shell of his former self, and cut way too much weight(after yo-yoing in different weight classes)....

hatton was said to be overrated coming off the mayweather stoppage.....

and i heard right here in this forum from many that cotto was diminished...damaged goods...

is manny superman?...or was it just great matchmaking?....

none of this was said about marquez....and marquez didn`t fold like wet origami....until he was outclassed by mayweather....

be careful...

Agreed AND his punch resistance seems to be through the charts these day's.

His chin seems to be MUCH better since he has moved up, which is highly unusual.

I never saw something like that. That is one thing I was most surprised during the fight. I bet Cotto was surprised too. He caught him with some very good shots early and Manny didn't blink.
I know that you can develop better punch resistance if you stop drain yourself by jumping a weight class but not a several weight classes. I mean does anybody knows a case where for instance a LHW would jump to HW division only to find out that he takes HW punch better?

Prior the fight I would be all over PrettyBoy. Now, I don't see him winning. PrettyBoy has a great defense but Manny won't respect his punch and is fast enough to catch him. Some euro books have Manny at +125 or +150 but who knows if this fight will happen. PrettyBoy don't accepts fights where he is not sure if he will win. He knows that all his talk will go to trash when he loses a fight. On the other hand, money and attention will be that good that it will be hard for him to pass.

Before Oscar "grandpa" DeLa Payday, before Ricky "I love darts and booze" Hatton and before "killer body puncher" Cotto, LOTS of folks had Pac-man losing for various reasons. Lots of chatter about how he did'nt stand a chance. NOW all the feed box noise says how he CAN'T lose! Maybe he will eat $$$ May for breakfast, but it almost seems it may be time to go aganist the grain. But thing is Freddie Roach is the most honest, straight-foward guy in boxing. No BS. Been calling it right all along and doesn't try to con people. He says they will dismantle $$$ May. Two guys in their prime for the most part. May has highway miles on him so no excuses. Can Mayweather actually hurt Pac-man? If not, he is fuking toast. We know what Pac-monster can do.

Update odds at "Luckys" sportsbooks (Plaza/Terribles)

Update odds at "Luckys" sportsbooks (Plaza/Terribles)

Well as of today, 11/17/2009, here it is. $$$ May-Pac-man; fight MUST go by Dec.2010, Pac-man+130/$$$$ May-150. Ah yes, a magnificent scalp one might think. Not so fast. I've done this before. First off, different books have different rules. I've had bets cancelled at one book only to have my scalp side still live action at another. Also, these guys may NEVER fight. Of course the world says they will, but who knows. Luckys will take 5-10 dimes, so they tell me. A POSSIBLE fight/scalp can be risky, but jump if you feel froggy. They also have $$$ May-Moseley; -300$$$ May/+240 Moseley, MUST go by 6/30/2010. Gee, what could that mean?

Thanks for posting updates Frank. Wow line changed fast and they extended action time on this fight. At this point it is way too late anyway, at least for me.

If they fought today, I'd take Pac hands down getting odds. As I stated earlier, Stations Casinos has Pac-160/+140 back. But, when the fight actually takes place, if it does, circumstances may not be the same. I don't think $$$ May has the heart to slug it out with Pac-man.
