Wonder why the corporate media isn't playing up this story. I heard McBush was in Pittsburgh last week and was telling reporters about his POW days. He told them that when the NVA questioned him about the names of his squad he gave them the names of the "Steel Curtain".

Only problem with this story was that, in his book, ole John wrote that he told the NVA captors the names of the Packers offensive lineman. Another slight problem with his story to the Pittsburgh reporters was that at the time of his capture and while he was a POW the "Steel Curtain" was not yet in existence.

Mean Joe Greene, LC Greenwood, Ernie Holmes and Dwight White were the original "Steel Curtain" which was named in 1971. Ole John became a POW in 1967. Hmmmmmmmm. I guess the corporate media was looking for more stories on sermons given by Reverand Wright in 1956.

Eddie I started a thread same subject. I say he just out right lied. He was in Pitt so he used Pitt. And when in Wis he used as in his book G Bay. I guess when in Texas it may change again with his failing memory to Dallas. It did not get much attention because of P Gramm's remark got them all. But this is scarey how much old John is slipping.

You have to see the video of the veteran questioning McCains votes concerning veterans. It was the saddest thing i ever saw. McCain was out and out lying to the guy and the guy was really staying on point. I honestly don't think McCain knew he was lying and simply didn't know his own votes. You could see McCain getting angry and then McCain bragged about all these veteran groups who supported him but in reality he had bad grades in everyone of them. It was really strange to see this whole fiasco and the veteran standing there in total disbelief. Boy and when McCain doesn't get his way you can just see the temper brewing. You would think that he would guard against this since he is being accused of having a short fuse. McCain really needs to stack his town hall like Bush use to. A bunch of hand jobs like good ole boy Jeff (lite in the loafers)Gannon who will clap at everything he says.

well McCain did finish 894 in his class.

What a effort there with the books. And now late in life , he is asked to buckle down and learn more stuff than he has ever had to. Names of foreign dignataries, economy stuff, speechs.

McCain not happy about going back to school so late in life. He thought he was over that crap.

Just give me the Presidency. I dont want to work at it. I am entitled. George W said so.

i guess you haven't been paying attention djv. obama has shown that he is a great speaker when he has a prepared speech written by his writer's in front of him....but has not performed as well without the written word for him to read from...

Can't see which teams it was does much to translation of what occurred--
-it nots like a fictitious event was seered in his mind
or the grand daddy of them all
--or he told what he knew to be a boldfce lie to family and friends--then went on tv and scolded the world for doubting him--followed by lying under oath--:nono:

with that being said--he should know the diff between teams and I chalk it up to political hype per event--which in my view is just as bad if not worse than brain fart.

yeah...this is quite a dilemma.....about as important as whether to spell d-i-l-e-m-m-a or d-i-l-e-m-n-a......

definitely proves that he was a collaborator...

not to mention the fact that he`s older than stonehenge...

yeah...thats the ticket!..

im sure you had the same feelings in 00 and 04. How did this work out?

i actually voted for gore in 2000...& before that i voted for clinton twice, voted for carter before that, & mcgovern before that (campaigned for mccarthy in the primaries), & voted for humphrey before that...& i'm sure that i have voted democratically more times than you have....but i don't think you vote...it's not your style.....

on the republican side i voted for reagan in 1980....in 84 & 88 i was too busy making money to be bothered..so i didn't vote...& i voted for bush in 04 because i gave him the benefit of the doubt because of 9/11...i probably would have voted for any sitting president in 04...

now what is your point to this particular discussion ?

like usual....you have no point..
