Parlay options as of right now...

Cotto -800...Dzindziruk -675...Hatton -975

Margarito -290

Dawson -320

Dawson Over 11.5 -320

Tarver Over 11.5 -210

Hopkins Over 11.5 -290

Sarritzu-Inom Over 9.5 -350

Chagaev-Valuev Over 9.5 -475

As posted, I already have 2 grand riding on Dawson and Cotto at even money, so I'm moving on to the next set of plays...

***Dzindziruk over Konecny -675....this fight has been rescheduled several times, but I love Dzind in this spot. Fighting at home under a dominant promoter with a huge height/reach advantage to compliment his southpaw stance. Not much power to worry about from Kon and Dzind has a solid chin. Dzind is a great fighter, will take the best out there to beat him in Germany

**Sarritzu-Inom Over 9.5 -350...These guys already fought to a close 12 round decision. Neither has much power and both have solid chins, the 9.5 is a gift as I expected 11.5. Only thing that worries me, line moved from -380 to win -350, perhaps they were just eliminating some juice from the feeler line

*Tarver-Woods Over 11.5 -210....Slightly risky with two older fighters needing 12 rounds to cash. Both guys can hit a little but nothing to worry about imo as both have solid chins. This number seems a little low to me

*Hopkins-Calzaghe Over 11.5 -290...Slightly risky but nobody's stopping Hopkins and I don't think Hop has the power or workrate to stop Zags

*Chagaev-Valuev Over 9.5 -475....Easily went 12 last time they fought and I expect the same in the rematch

I have Cintron at +275, so I might parlay Marg to cover the potential loss, not real confident in Cintron's right hand holding up for 12 rounds.

Dawson fight could go 12 rounds, but I'm leaving it alone

Hatton should be too much for Lazcano but the odds aren't worth the risk, wouldn't surprise me if a Hatton cut stopped the fight, or Lazcano could drill him into the ringpost

In another thread, TonyMontana mentioned being big on Cotto, wonder what wager he's speaking of as I know he's not laying 8-1 and I dought he's parlaying those kind of odds. Alot of guys around here are giving Gomez a shot, I'd like to hear Tony's take on this fight

I confess i did something stupid. I have a big parlay with Klitschko Ud/KO + Berto+ Calzaghe +Cotto + Serra St pierre under (at - 150, its now -500 or so).
If the Cotto from the urkal fight comes Gomez can get to the later rounds but Gomez has not enough one shot power to hurt Cotto seriously.
Gomez has stamina issues he gets very tired after eight rounds. I believe cotto in 7 to 10 is a great bet.
But betting Cotto straight is a stupid bet.
Everybody has a weak moment.
If "my men" plays Gomez i buy back but i seriously doubt that.

Very interesting, I was under the impression that Karass was overrated, he seems limited and easy to hit. I think he'll be a good fade when he steps up in competition. Having said that, he does have a good work rate and a solid chin so he'll probably get by Smith, but its a no play for me.

This might sound crazy but I think Bruseles will get by Tackie on Friday. Henry has been fighting well lately and has learned how to box with caution, stacking up rounds without getting hit much. He knows Tackie can't be stopped, so he won't even try. He know Tackie is dangerous so he'll be careful, he has the Top Rank name behind him so he should get anything close. Tackine is getting old, has taken alot of shots, has to be wearing down a little. Bruseles is young and fresh, it'll be stick and move for 10 rounds imo

Paulie-Ndou Over 10.5 -600....and Paulie -1000 were added for our parlaying pleasure, down the road a bit though

Anyone have thoughts on Bruseles-Tackie?

Seems about right on Bruseles.

When I mentioned karass he was -290, it's gone way up since then. He's not really that good but stylewise I think he matches up very well with Chris Smith. He does most things just a bit better than Smith. Smith is just as limited, doesn't hit as hard and doesn't have as good of a chin. Karass will be a good fade against a competant boxer but that is something that Smith is not.

"the bunker"
not making a case for alphonso gomez....cotto may just be on another level......but,boy,doesn`t he look much bigger than cotto in the photo they posted at boxinnews?.....

look at his fist and his head...i always look at a guys head....for some reason i correlate the size of a guys head with his natural size(i find it`s usually accurate with a few exceptions...i.e. william joppy...who`s head belongs on shaquille o`neal`s body).....

cotto blows him out,i`ll be a little shocked....of course, one liver shot can change anybody`s mind about hanging around...

cotto_gomez_pc.jpg

was looking at shane mosley`s recent fights at welter, and he wasn`t exactly blowing guys away,power-wise....other than a shot fernando vargas....mosely`s still tough, but, there`s definitely been some slippage...

still lean cotto...an elite fighter...but,i`m getting a weird vibe about this fight....

gomez` losses were either in very short fights or vs much bigger guys...

getting a cramp in my wallet..
