Just thought I would write a little bit about a dream I have had since a young man. I have dabbled in and around the PBA tour for 30 years, but now retired and financially set I get to try this full time. It will be fun and challenging but guys I watched as a young man are now Hall of Famers and I get to compete with them all. With that said the wife and I bought a 35 ft motorhome a Thor Hurricane, we will be leaving Syracuse May 1st and taking a scenic route for the wife who has never been west, I will be staying in Montana a week and then heading into Washington and heading down the coast into Oregon before hitting Reno for the USBC nationals, I will be bowling with a team that needed a bowler and doing Team event on May 25th at 2 PM PCT and bowling the minor events on the 26th at 6pm. I will also bowl the Bowlers Journal on the 24th at 7pm. All scoring can be found on Bowl.com Live. The PBA50 tour can be seen on Bowltv.com for 11 Bucks a month and it will televise every event we have.
My first event is the Senior Masters in Vegas at Sams Town, a place I love and I have had some success there in the past as an amatuer. We are there June 5-11. After this is the US Open in Greeley Colorado June 14-19. So the tour opens up with 2 major events out of the 5 we will have this season out of 11 events.
After that we have a break until July 10 in Hammond Indiana that will be followed by the 3rd major event the Senior World Series of Bowling in Jackson Michigan from July 15-23. After this we have a week rest as we head South to Morgantown West Virginia. July 31-August 3.
The next week is the 4th major the Players Championship in Sterling Virginia from August 6-10. After this its the Florida swing starting at the Villages August14-18 and then Fort Myers August 20-23, if I win I get to the TOC Tournament of Champions in Lakeland Florida August 26-30 I would love to bowl for a title on my birthday and what a present it would be at 59 years old.
Anyway its a dream come true and if I am coming to a town near you and you want to meet up or come to an event and see the legends of the bowling world not me but the HOF guys LOL get back to me and we can make it happen.....Thanks guys I hope to see you out on my travels on the PBA 50 tour.

Hey Trucker, I am planning on making the 3 hr trip to Jackson for the world series myself . I would love to bowl all the stops but my job will prohibit that so taking full advantage to bowl 3 and maybe 4 tournaments in a week is best for me, hope to see you there and tell some life stories over a drink or dinner.

Actually here in Reno right now. Bowl tomorrow and Thursday.

Bowl well, Nole.

Haven’t bowled nationals since 2019. Had rotator cuff surgery in 2020 and there wasn’t a tourney that year anyway. Didn’t get back to league bowling until the 21-22 season and a couple of the guys I’d bowled with at Nationals stopped going.
May try and make the 2025 one in Baton Rouge and toss a New Orleans visit in. I’d also be a super senior by then so might have an easier time in brackets.

Shot 211-191-217 for a 619. Take that anytime at Nationals. Got in 40 senior brackets. I’ll check later tonight but should have done alright. Payoff for brackets is here at the Silver Legacy so that’s nice. This place is deserted though. It’s very depressing. Used to be huge crowds just a few years ago.
Hope all has been good with you redsfann.

Josh, love the bag! Will check into it!

All good here, Nole. 29 years and counting with the better half and the kids still talk to me, so I must be doing something right
Nice! Anytime you put up a 600 series at Nationals, you’ve done well. Two more sets of 600 should get you a decent payday in all events.
Finished the league season last night. 215-267-234 for a 716 series. 206 average for the year. Swear the shot gets easier every year.
That is nice that bracket money can be picked up at Silver Legacy now— remember having to go down to the shithole that is Harrah’s to get it?
Not surprised to learn that there aren’t the crowds for nationals like the used to be. The Reno/Vegas every other year rotation got old in a hurry… miss the trips to places like Albuquerque, El Paso, Baton Rouge.. were you in Knoxville yet when they hosted Nationals? Don’t know if that would get the numbers back up, but they’ve got to do something.
Good luck today.
