Not much I like in way of regular books but will reluctantly dip into a couple of ties lose situations

Adding @ B&W

Funk -111 over Waldorf
Class and cut edge plus Funk got one under belt

Lonard -111 over Weir
Huge cut edge Two players been moving opposite directions. Had to look twice when I saw Weir had no top 10's in 25 events last year.Been struggling with the flat stick.

Matchup plays (0.5 units):

Robert Allenby to beat Aaron Baddeley -120 @ SkyBet and BetInternet
Opposing Baddeley this week despite his residence in Scottsdale and his obvious good form. This will be his debut in this event and there will surely be a reaction from his playoff loss last week to Els. Siding with one of the outright picks is therefore an obvious choice.

Justin Leonard to beat Aaron Baddeley -110 @ Sportingbet and Sporting Odds
Bit of a mixed bag for Leonard in this event. He has missed the last two cuts here, but has also finished 2nd twice in the last seven years. Simply the more consistent player.

Peter Lonard to beat Aaron Baddeley +100 @ Victor Chandler
Lonard is also the more consistent player. It will be his debut in this event, but a near-miss in the run for 2002 Rookie of the Year and two wins in the winter months in Australia point to yet another top-20 finish this week.

Peter Lonard to beat Jonathan Byrd -118 @ Easybets
Again siding with the very consistent Lonard. Byrd finished a lowly 50th last week and has yet to compete on this course. Also hard to ignore a 13-4-0 head-to-head score over the past year in favour of Lonard.

Luke Donald to beat Rich Beem -111 @ BetandWin
Will continue to oppose Beem. In his last four starts, he has finished last in the Grand Slam of Golf, the Williams World Challenge and the Mercedes Championships, which were events with no cut, and he missed the cut last week in the Sony Open. He has also played in this event three times and missed the cut on every occasion. Donald missed his first cut for five months last week, but should have plenty in reserve against Beem.

1st rd results 1-0
Janzen -120 + 1/2 stroke over Byrd win

2nd rd plays
Janzen -115 over Byrd @ 5dimes
liked it yesterday and haven't changed mind

Funk -115 over Donald
Nice round of -6 by Donald yesterday, looking for bounce today

Mick -110 -1/2 stroke over Leonard @ WSEX
Stats say Mick hit 43% of fairways yesterday,I beg to differ, closer to 30% and still tied Leonard.Mick is -138 in 3ball involving Leonard @ 365 so got to think these odds are gift, win or lose.

Still waiting for Oly,B&W and SIA to put up lines.

If wasn't worried of bounce on Toms great day yesterday would prefer Toms especially in light Mick playing new equipment and driving ball terribly. If fact would be playing Toms-110 vs VJ and Mick if not worried about bounce off steller rd.

Two too many imponderables for me.

I don't know how Toms will react to his double-bogey at the last hole when he had been tied for the lead. He seemed to be playing and holing out extremely well, but pulled his approach shot left into the water on the last hole. I think he will react well to it, but you never like that to happen on your last hole.

I don't know how Mickelson will react to John Daly again. Daly will obviously be ripping it again as he has no chance of making the cut and if he does self-destruct or Mickelson embroils himself in another long-driving contest, then his play could suffer.

adding outright to place @ Sia (4places)
Still waiting on Olympic to drop theirs

Olazabal 12/1 to place.
Big improve on driving as he hit 50% of fairways:D
Will get some chuckles on this wager but despite terrible recent form he is firery competitor. Having 5 top 5's in 20 events last year gives him a 4/1 break even on place wagers--and with these
odds being 3times that I got to put out a little cheese.

Talk about a crowded leaderboard. This tournament is anyone's to win.

Petrovic leading at -13
Frazar at -12

And notables with the best chances of winning

Stricker, McCarron and Huston at -11

Vijay and Goosen at -9

Howell and Verplank at -7

Sergio, Toms and Mickelson at -6

Actually Sergio had it to -8 but doubled his last hole.

My hunch right now is that Vijay is going to win this thing.

Mid-point update:

Allenby/Baddeley WON by 1
Leonard/Baddeley WON by 1
Lonard Baddeley WON by 5
Lonard/Byrd WON by 7
Donald/Beem WON by 14

Toms 31st
Mediate 31st
Allenby 55th

Nice to have the sweep by halftime! Somewhat fortunate that Baddeley finished one shot short of making the cut, but there'll be plenty of bad bounces this season to make amends. The outrights have some work left, though a top-5 finish from one of them is still a possibility.

Has everyone tried the demo version of TOURCast? Definitely worth the wait

Nice job Stan:toast:

At the cut: 3rd rd 3-1, 72 holes 2-0 with 2 remaining

3rd rd
Janzen/Byrd win
Mick/Leonard win
Funk/Donald loss
Stricker/Kuchar win

72 holes
Janzen/Sutherland win
Funk/Waldorf win
pending
Lonard/Weir 2up
Toms/Singh 3down

To place: Funk and Oly 44 and 55 currently

Very fortunate to get 3 wins on Janzen with 2 dismal rds
Got to watch Oly yesterday and how disheartening to so him struggle so badly off tee. I did get an education in spanish expletives as he was quite vocal with Sergio in earshot:)

Will be back later with 3rd rd as I can't load Stan's site currently.

3rd rd
outright Toms to place @ oly 8/1
(all place wagers 1 unit this year unless otherwise noted))
Has a lot of ground to make up but if wind ever blows many above will regress. Usually does well on weekend ranking in top 10 in both 3rd and 4th rd scoring ave in 2002. I've seen sicker dogs get well.

Oly 72 hole cont
Toms -110 over Howell currently 1 down (see above)

Huston +100 over Donald - 1/2 stroke @ WSEX
Don't think I'm picking on this kid I like his game and attitude just think he is in over head here. Also ranks 100+ in both 3rd and 4th rd scoring ave in 2002 but may not be relevant as I think he has turned corner this year.
