I used to collect a lot of shit.
Stamps, coins, sports collectibles, comics, roaches, whatevas.
Perhaps the acceptance--not the realization, but the acceptance, if that makes sense--of my
mortality has allowed me to hoard less crap and just enjoy the transience and whatever
glib offerings may please those around me both before and after I demise.
That sounds more glum then intended but, without an immediate family (wife, kids, whatevas),
maybe the inclination to accumulate is somewhat diminished.
I still collect music to a greater deal then is warranted by the quality of most offerings.
Still back up the video shit I score even if it remains remnants of that which I would regret suffering
through a second time.
