Southwest is on the right track with their detering fat people from flying by making them buy two seats...

Maybe Southwest airlines should understand they need to make the seats bigger! What are they stupid ? And if we the general public made them do it for fat people then all us tall slender people in great shape will benifit also. I hate going coach. I feel like a sardine.

Intead of buying two seats if I were a largess person I would pay to go first class. (Its probably less than two coach seats)

I would bring a picnic luch basket and sit there drinking champagne and balony sandwhichs laughing at the disgusting looks I was getting. But thats just me.

:D :D :D

Sorry but I agree with Marine.

I fly coast to coast or coast to Vegas frequently. I am a slender person myself. I have twice so far this year ended up in a window seat with a huge person in the middle seat. Invariably they ask to put up the armrest, which I (sorry) decline.

You know, I paid good money for this seat. I have nothing against you being overweight. But I paid for a whole seat, I want my whole seat. I have ended up with 3/4 of a seat on a six hour LA to DC flight and it is not only uncomfortable, but in a hot cabin and both people are wearing shorts? I dont want to be touching you for six hours. F'ing gross.

Bravo Southwest.

Hellah,

I just posted the link because I don't agree with the amount of aid we give to any country. That link actually backs your argument.......I just hate my tax dollars going to anyone else but AMERICANS.

I agree that i'd rather see our tax dollars being spent on our shaky infastructure, better medical care, improving our military, etc. For all that money, we should get a free vacation every year in Tel Aviv, lol.
Ace, I agree 100% with what Southwest did. If someone wants to be a 400 pound heart attack risk that is their business but if it causes discomfort for someone else on an airplane then they damn well should pay for two seats. PERIOD. Bravo Southwest!

Hellah,

First off,I did'nt know that you were of Arab decent.to be honest with you I never think of what nationality a person is when I communicate with him.I also believe that I never indicated that you were glad about what happened on 9/11.My example about blond, blue eyed men was about profiling.I think it makes sense to profile young Muslim men.Only because extremist militant men of this faith want to kill us & destroy our way of life.

You say that mass media in this nation is pro-Israel.Maybe it is not so much of them being pro-Israel than them being anti-terrorism.Terrorism or vigilantism cannot be tolerated in a civil society & I think that is why the media seems pro-Israel.

I also think the reason why US gives aid to Israel is because Israel is surrounded by countries that want to end Israel's existence. Also Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. However,I don't understand why the US gives aid to the Palestinians or countries like Egypt, who don't preach democratic gov'ts.

On a different subject,I always thought SW Airlines was one of the better run airlines.Whenever I can,I take them.

Why does the US have to butt in everybodys business?!?!? They need to focus on whats going on here...and not whats going on 5000 miles away from home. I can think of a ton of reasons of what the gov could do here raterh then handing money away to other countries...it doesnt bother you that your taxes go to them???? If they are a country, then they can get money on thier own....

wow,

flying southwest makes for a miserable day, in my opinion.

if you have to check a bag, it seems like those lines are guaranteed the worst of any. atleast now they figured out that waiting in two lines is brutal, so they give you the boarding pass immediately. but no first class, no assigned seating (so you gotta wait in line at the gate in order not to sit in the middle seat -- if you get searched at the gate, you're screwed and you're guaranteed to sit in the middle of two fat guys that smell). never seen tv's on the plane, and half the time the air conditioning on the plane is broken. the only airline worse that i fly is airtran. i have never once been ontime when flying airtran.

plus, what the hell is the deal with the way they give out drinks on southwest???? they come by to take your order, then have to go back to get the drink? wheel the freaking cart one time -- it saves tons of time. oh, and they don't serve any food either on the flights i've been on.

plus, no other airlines accepts their tickets (to my knowledge or experience) so if one of their flights gets delayed, you can't jump on another airline! same with freaking airtran. atleast the others you can bail if their late or get on a better flight if there's an opening.

hey Ryson

thats not security its a prisoner that excaped from a mental institution. Getting some rest before she starts her new job as head of security.

Notice how the leg is ringed into the arm guard. She has been there before catching zzzzzzzs.

On the other hand she could be on break and it was during a shutdown of all service due to weather and she had just gotten off a shift of 22 hours straight checking bags that got lost in a blinding snowstorm.
There are two sides to every story ya know ryson.
