Realistically, what do you think you could shoot at Augusta?

The original bet still stands. After all this time noone has the balls to challenge me.

$10,000 says I can break par, only stipulation is I get to bring my Dad.

No problem breaking 100, I'd have that after 12 holes or so.:00x24x20:

Oh my what a classic thread. For the thread title, I would be lucky to break 90, from the Member tees. As you see, most from that distance are doing pretty well and I am sure stimpmeter if available would be 10-11 instead of 12-15 as predicted (never tested ) during tournament. Chad possibly could have done 75-78 but very much doubt it. I doubt he would have broken 85 even today. Just saying

I WOULD BREAK 100 ONETHING I DO IS KEEP THE BALL IN PLAY ALL MY SHOTS GO STRAIGHT MIGHT NOT BE AS LONG AS I USED TO BE BUT I AM STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE.THE GREENS WOULD KILL ME I AM A PUBLIC GOLFER SO I AM NOT USED TO SUPER FAST GREENS.REMEMBER THESE OLD COURSES WERENT MADE LIKE TODAYS 7500 YARD MONSTERS.AUGUSTA NATIONAL WHEN JACK NICKLAUS WAS PLAYING THERE WAS PROBABLY 6700 OR LESS

I SHOT 85 AT (THE COUNTRY CLUB) IN BROOKLINE BUT THAT WASNT THE CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE THEY USED FOR THE RYDER CUP AND THE U.S. OPEN

U.S. OPEN BACK IN BROOKLINE IN 2022 I WILL PROBABLY BE A MARSHAL FOR THE WEEK LIKE I WAS AT THE RYDER CUP IN 1999

My father played there twice late 70's early 80's when he was still a 9-10 handicap. Shot 95 and 99 . I still have the score cards...somewhere....

How many Mulligans? Putting everything out? No gimmies? Play ball where it lies?

USGA rules I?d shoot 120 at least at Augusta

THESE OLD COURSES ARENT AS TOUGH AS YOU THINK.I AM SERIOUS UNTIL THEY TIGER PROOFED AUGUSTA NATIONAL I BET IT WAS NO MORE THAN 6700 YARDS SAMETHING WITH THE BROOKLINE COUNTRY CLUB BY TODAYS STANDARDS THESE OLD COURSES WERENT MADE LONG.

THE ONLY WAY TO TOUGHEN THESE OLD COURSES LIKE THE COUNTRY CLUB THEY LET THE ROUGH GROW AND NARROW THE FAIWAYS THATS THE ONLY WAY THE OLD COURSES CAN STILL SURVIVE.

TRUE FACT WHEN JACK NICLAUS WAS PLAYING

PAR FOURS COULDNT BE OVER 460 YARDS
PAR THREES COULDNT BE OVER 225 YARDS

THE GAME HAS REALLY CHANGED IN THE LAST 25 YEARS

IT ALSO DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ARE PLAYING WITH.I WOULD BREAK 100 IF I COULD GO OUT BY MYSELF AND NOBODY TO BOTHER ME.IF I HAVE TO PLAY WITH A SLOW PLAYING BRAGGING ASSHOLE HE WOULD SCREW UP MY GAME.DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I WANTED TO SAY HEY PAL WHY DONT YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE I PUNCH YOU RIGHT IN THE FACE BUT I HOLD BACK BECAUSE ITS GOLF.

YOU DO MEET A LOT OF JERKS ON THE GOLF COURSE

Many, many years ago I was doing a handyman job for an elderly man. I walked in the basement and saw several golf hats on a table. Muirfield, Troon etc. I asked him if he golfed. He said, "No, but my son does. He's upstairs. I'll have him come down." His son was on a lesser tour (forget the name), but he told me this. "Most everyone on this tour can stripe it, they have the length and they blister their irons. The one major difference between those who can and can't is the short stick. You cannot afford to be an average putter."

Rahm hit all 14 fairways on Thursday. His average carry is around 315. That is a very high bar for any or all challengers. I would think thoughts of the Grand Slam will only intensify his focus and make him far more formidable.
