I have to agree if acommunication with your Doc in ot avaialble, the best is the pharmacist... I understand medicine and hte lingofor the most part, but I am consistenlty checking with pharmay's over my drugs that are prescribed even after i read the PI (product insert).

Right Side- Again got no beef with what yo are doing, because it it similiar to taking a vitamin it is purely a supplement no different than the stuff you find at GNC, but please be careful with throwing these types of words out:

Our products are NATURAL and don't come with "WARNING" labels unlike pharmaceutical medicines! If I can be on something natural that doesn't cause brutal side effects compared to most medicines with warning labels and horrible side affects

The reason there is no warningis becauseit is a supplement, and not reviewed by the FDA. One just has to look at the Ma Huang plant to understand the effects of a "supplement" that can cause harm and damage if not death. (Ma Huang is the plant in which the supplement ephedrine comes from.) Also lead to death and heart issues with people on Metabolife. People said hte same thing, it's Natural, It helps me Lose weith, and I has No Side Effects. We all know that isn't true.

By no means am I comparing the Reliv products toMetabolife perse, but the natural, no side effects claim n supplements isn't true, they are just UNKNOWN and not soundly studied.

I also no people that swear by only eating Organic Foods, and that has helped with everything that was ailing them. As well, to some it may be true, to others not so, but probably to a majority it could/is a placebo affect which is very strong. Especially if they know what they are taking and what it is supposed to do.

I love conversations as long as they maintain the civility of mature adults. Let's consider each of us those same adults with differences of opinion.

YYZ thanks! Spending this time writing I hope someone found it worth the read. LOL! Either that or I'll have Kosar on my butt again! LMAO!!

Unreal, he bumped his own thread again. I think some viatmins and supplements are ok. The problem I have here is with reliv being a MLM/Pyramid scheme. Right side keeps bumping it because he is trying to peddle a product and get people to sign up under him. He doesn't give a flying chit about anybody on here, which is ok, he doesn't know people personally, but don't try to qualify selling this stuff with how he wants to help you. He WOULD NOT BE POSTING AND BUMPING if he wasn't trying to sell you stuff!!!!! That's the point. How is this sales thread any different than some of these one time posters who sign up, try to peddle, then get banned??? Not knowing the rules the first time and posting an email addy and a website is forgivable, but don't keep bumping it up to the top. Reliv=Amway=etc.

PS I don't know how this got into a FDA discussion??? I think there are several natural things that are good and not harmful, but I agree, you should check with an expert (pharmacist will know more here than a MD) before mixing with conventional medicine. I've been exposed to some natural medicine in my career here "out in the country" and overseas, so I am certainly not anti-natural medicine.

On the course!
You should save the nitrous oxide for the unfortunates who sit in your chair, if you think Scott-Atlanta and I are one in the same.
