It's amazing how much they focused on 9/11. You would have thought that was the brightest day in Americas history. And where are all the people that decried the Democrats for 'exploiting' that little girls sickness during their convention?

The Pubs trot out 2 9/11 widows to tell their stories. No point whatsoever in their speeches, as far as politics go. Nothing about how Rudys actions or Dubyas actions helped them in any way. They just spoke of how much they and their kids missed their loved ones. Are you f*cking kidding me? Talk about exploitation.

Yeah, that's the same, Freeze. One convention focusing on the maybe, kinda, sorta heroic deeds of a highly decorated vietnam vet and one convention focusing on the worst single day in Americas history. That happened on his watch, at that. Bizarre. Pandering to certain weak minded yutz's who can be easily manipulated and easily frightened. What kind of crap is that? Hey! Look what happened on our watch! It just might happen again unless you vote for me! WTF?

Nah the Vietnam war was a walk in the park....couldnt have been the single worst war in American history ya think?

I know you think Bush should have been at the airport screening facility in 2 different airports at the same time, but he was not and most of the country thinks that the way he attempted to help bring the country together and fight back is somewhat relevant.

Freeze,

9/11 wasn't Bush's fault, but it's hardly something to hang your hat on.

As far as bringing the country back together, he did what any other president would have done. Same goes for Rudy.

Ironlock,

I should have asked you when I saw you in Vegas a few weeks ago, but i've always wondered why 'GUYS' is capitalized in your signature. What's up with that, man. Don't the female handicappers get a 'good luck' also?

I think that the republicans are simply playing the "with which president will the country be safer against terrorism" card. Obviously both parties play to their own "perceived" strengths at their respective conventions.

They must send out talking points via fax or email to all dems being interviewed during election. Just watch a few--regardless of what question is asked you get the same answer from all even though it is not relevent to question--almost word for word.

A clinton invention, and one of the most annoying and dispicable things that have destroyed the Democratic Party...this is one of the top reasons why I could never supporta Dem...they are loyol to party..and not to principles.

"the bunker"
i actually thought mccain`s speech was extrordinary.....

i also thought clinton`s speech at the dnc was excellent.....to be fair..

it`s not taboo to be "a little bi-partisan"....even if it hurts a bit...

what i took from the first day,and i admit,i wasn`t looking for things to bitch about, was the fact that we are all in a war that threatens our safety and well being in our own homes and workplaces...

do we want to sit back as europe has for 70 years, until it is to late?...be reactionary... or are we going to be proactive.....and try our damndest to fight these monsters on their turf.....

the iraq war is in the books....the aftermath is messy and difficult....do we cut and run?....or do we try and help create some sort of decent society, hoping to influence some change in the region?....

libya has capitulated...and the college crowd in iran are growing weary of being held down by radical fundamentalism...

it is a very difficult task...maybe not possible.....but,imo,now that we`re there,we have to try....

What else can Bush talk about. Oh yes tax cut. And these guys speaking right now don't even sound like there on Bush's bus. Chit there all for things he hates. But they cave in when it's time for a vote in congress.

I agree, we're at war. One that was totally f*cked up by Bush, but a war nonetheless. Let's go with someone new, someone who hasn't yet proven that he doesn't have a clue.
