the dems get a little "itchy" when the neocons go a little "hollywood" on them....

touche`!!!!

I'd get just as 'itchy' if the Dems waltzed some crying Iraq War widows up onto the stage with a video montage of coffins coming home and then everybody joining in for a rendition of Bette Midlers 'Wind Beneath My Wings'.

talked to a guy from pakistan the other day who knows something or two about the region where Bin Ladin is.....he said that it is an area where no one really can go or that has been or is even bother with contolling.....

seems like Bush would do something if he coudl dont you think? but the terrain makes it seemingly impoossible unless we deployed the whole country over there

GW,

I guess I didn't realize the 9/11 hearings were partisan.

Besides, it was pretty much ONLY because of those survivors that there was that investigation in the first place. I think that's a pretty big difference.

those women were unabashedly anti-bush and admitted as much on chris matthews` show...their intent was to do what they could to blame 9/11 on the president...and the administartion...

there was nothing bi-partisan about those women....

and it should be noted that at least 2,maybe all 3 of the women that spoke at the convention sought out the convention organizers and requested a spot at the podium.....

they weren`t recruited....and to be fair,they weren`t bi-partisan either...

what`s good for the goose....you know the rest..

all I can say, is my brother is a devote republican, Harvard educated and all. He was in world trade center 9/11, spoke with him this morning and he was terribly disappointed at the way HIS PARTY exploited the day. The company he works for Thompson financial lost I believe 22 people, and as he said "using that day for political advancement just isn't right. O

absolutely no intellectual honesty to complain about that when kerry did the same with Vietnam

plus its stupid....both are part of who they are

here is another little tid bit, I was in Boston at a hospital doing some counseling and met a 23 year old Lance corporal in the Marines. Was sent to Iraq last February, by March sharpnel ripped through his back & spinal cord paralyzing him for life from the chest down. While he was overseas he was getting $2600 a month, which was getting his 20 year old new bride and their new baby by in a apartment. Since he is no longer over seas, his check was cut to 1300, now he is up against losing his place and finding somewhere to live. Got to tell you, he isn't a big Bush Fan, not hardly at all.

oh,please.....there is absolutely nothing of any substance or consequence being accomplished at theses conventions....

the nominations are all sewn up...

this is pure theater....it`s for public consumption....

like michael moore getting a prime seat at the dems` convention....

it`s a show....

giuliani has every right to say whatever he wants about 9/11...he was there and he was in charge...

the republican`s are making the point that there is question regarding kerry`s commitment to fighting terror aggressively....and there is no doubt that george bush intends to...and does...

is there anything positive that you guys can say about anything republican?

you guy`s are getting a bit hysterical and are blinded by your bush hatred...

take a deep breath...

So then Bush 1 shouldn't have touted his military service? Absolutely no intellectual honesty if you can't see the difference.

And who's 'complaining'? It's just kind of puzzling that 9/11 would be the cornerstone of the convention so far. Not to mention tacky.

Anything republican? Sure, plenty of positive things to say about their traditional views on many things.

Bush & Co.? Not so much.

Ok garden, I like the way McCain tried to be inclusive, not divisive like Giuliani. But I like and respect McCann anyway. Ron silver screaming and yelling was a embarrassment, and Giuliani was extremely derogatory towards Kerry, but McCann gave a nice speech

yes he should have....i advocate saying anything you want and using anything you want....

the dishonesty lies when you say it is okay for one candidate to use the Vietnam War and not okay for one to use 9-11

didn't Ronald Reagan once say "unless you can prove you made the country a better place, you have no business even running for a second term".

I don't see anything domestically in this country better, actually most everything worse.

It's ok for him to use 9/11. Just a little surprising is all. Maybe it shouldn't be.

yes Bush is responsible for this....he invented the whole military pay scheme

nothign like this has ever happened under a democratic president nor any other president

its unfortunate we dont live in a magical utopia isn't it.....pain and suffering are everywhere and each and everyone of us has to go through it.....the best thing we can do is to alleviate as much of it as we can....INDIVIDUALLY....it is not the governments responsibility.....

most of us give lots of $$ to churches and charities to take care of guys like your pal....i trust them much more with my $$ than i do the government

Freeze, I don't believe he was fighting for the church when he sustained his injury. In fact he was sent by the guys who claim to be the militarys best friend. Which is true while there selling them equipment & supplying logistics.

surprising? what do you think he is going to do at the convention?

run on his Vietnam record?

No, but normally the incumbent can cite some things that happened in the previous 4 years that were actually positive, and hammer them home. Well, like I said, maybe I shouldn't be surprised.
