Williams had trouble in the classroom and he "might" not have qualified. I am not bashing him. I am stating one of the reasons why I think he left early. Someone leaked out Williams academic status which they shouldn't have. Now that it is in the open it makes sense why he would go. I think if he did come back he would have been cleared to play but he prob. would have too bust his butt in summer school and this semesters grades. Mike Williams was my favorite Trojan these last 2 years and no way would I want to bash him. I think he is the best all time WR at USC and was the most dominant player in college football last year.

No I did not place the future wager yet and I guess I am thankful I did not. I still am going to bet USC to win the National Championship. The reason I delayed was I wanted to see USC in Spring Practice and how well the OL was playing/gelling. Remember, USC loses 3 OL. I also did not like 4-1 odds, i wanted higher. Well now I might get my wish and will get higher than 4-1. More value but more risk.

Your right, it is official.

I think a major reason Williams is declaring early in the NFL is he was most likely not going to qualify academically for next season.

It just got a lot more difficult to repeat. :drinky:

Do you not see the correlation between an elite academic University and a student-athlete who might not qualify academically to be eligible for that same University????

You sure do talk out of both sides of your big mouth. Take it back you illogical homer.

I think you just made yourself look foolish. :nono:

Wrong again. Mike Williams not only met the NCAA MIN. requirements out of high school, he met USC min. requirements (which is higher than NCAA Min.). So no, i would not call Williams a dumb jock. I would call your statement DUMB! USC rejects many high school students who have over 3.5 GPA's and over 1300 SAT scores. These are the type of students Williams is competing with in class.

An athlete has a higher probabilty of meeting min. academic requirements if they attend a lower academic University. VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND. Common logic. Why can't you understand that?

So your telling me that the requirement standard for Williams not to flunk out of USC is differant from lets say LSU requirements ?

I think not.

Failing grades are failing grades

Williams = F = flunkee recruited by USC

AN F IS A F !

Please do not assume Williams flunked out because he clearly has not. Williams "might" not have been academically qualified to play or he might have had to do a lot of extra work to qualify. By no means does that mean he was going to flunk out.

Remember

A degree from USC "clearly" holds a lot more weight than a degree from LSU. Therefore, you cannot compare an A or an F from USC to an A or an F from LSU.

AN F IS AN F AT USC OR LSU

Williams flunks out of USC WITH ALL F's

It was reported he was too stupid to continue to attend
the elite USC and he opted for the NFL where they don't
have to do any thesis.

Whenever you use the word clearly I know its trouble.

It was reported by a USC professor that "

Williams would have had to be locked in a room for ten years
for him to catch up to the classes. Clearly he had a chance
not to flunk out. But clearly I think he said NFL millions here I come.

Why do you continue this? Show me one piece of proof that he "might" not have been academically qualified? You always state that you only post facts, but this one is not.

Dont you think if he was academically ineligible that it would have been reported after the first semester grades were reported? Wouldnt they have made an announcement that he wouldnt be practicing in the spring? I guess you will speculate that it would have been announced with spring ball starting on the 6th, but that would only be speculation.

There has not been a single credible source indicating that he would have been academically ineligible. The only place you see it is in rumors or with SC fans that cant accept that Williams feels this is the best decision for himself. Afterall, how could anyone not want to play for SC, right?

The guy will be a multi-millionaire. He gave SC 2 great years & helped return the program to national prominance. Treat him with the respect he deserves. Spreading this BS rumor is not "Trojan Family", it is plain & simple bashing of a great young man.

First of all I never said it was a fact. I said that is what "I" think played a major role in Williams decision. Remember, he all along has said he wanted to come back and that the clarret ruling had no effect. Well it is a fact Williams hates school. He hates classes and hates to study. He even said so. He often ditches class and plays pick up games with the USC basketball players. Someone inside the athletic department said Williams grades were very bad and that he might not have been academically qualified next semester. Would u stay another year at USC if there was a "chance" you might not be eligible to play? I think Williams would have had to get good grades this semester and summer school to be qualified. I do not think he wanted to put all that time and effort. People forget that classes at USC are a lot tougher and challenging than classes at most Universities.

Harvard degree carries more weight than a USC degree. You do not see me whining to Harvard grads/students.

Only if you are applying for a job that has a homer for USC in the HR department. Are you freaking kidding me with that statement?

From what I understand, that ranking you just showed me is for doctoral level work. Not 4 year undergrad work which is what you should be comparing here.

I think you are kidding yourself by making a statement that USC has such a far superior academic rating when in acutality

USC rates 80 on overall academics
LSU ranks 74 on overall academics

Neither of which is worth writing home about.
