No. It simply shows that PAC10 members are close to equal. (except for USC, obviously) There are no dynasty teams in the NFL anymore. Does that mean the NFL is "tougher from top to bottom"? I think you know the correct answer to this...
You cannot apply todays clear-cut method of declaring the NC to teams from years ago. Take this year for example. You feel like your AP championship is legit, right? There has been tons of debate this year (we are all guilty of it :nooo: ) over which is the true NC. Years ago this arguement occured every year. There were split NC almost every year. And no, the AP and coaches poll were not the "most recognized". There were many polls that gained plenty of recognition. So simply looking over old stats and applying todays NC standards is absurd. You are a young man Scott, so you most likely have never known college FB without the BCS. Declaring the NC in today's times is much more standardized. (except for this year, I look for BCS tweaks to come) So for you to discredit any of Ole Miss' championships is really showing your "young" knowledge of college FB.
You are dead on with this post & Scott save your breath. You can't argue with the facts of how different titles are determined & recognized now.
