Auburn and Alabama have some Fine Baseball teams this year, we'll see how the polls look in about 2-3 weeks!

I aint saying that the SEC is the Best in all three, what I'm saying is that the SEC is the best in Football! I am just biased I know, but can you name more than 2 crappy football programs in the SEC? besides Vandy and Kentucky? Looks like both of those programs will be turning themselves around real soon!

Any Saturday in the fall any SEC team can beat another! Auburn beat the #1 team in the Nation and then finished the season as poor as Kentucky, or Vandy! The competition in the SEC is so fierce that you never know what to expect. As for all other conferences you can pick 2-3 big dogs and throw the rest away!

Big 12: Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, all good the rest are just average!

Not trying to pick a fight but just making a point!

Whoa, take it easy junior!

First of all, where in my post did I "attack" you? Did the smiley face after the credibility sentence confuse you? Sarcasm doesn't exactly travel well over the internet I suppose.

I always appreciate feedback on my posting content. I'm glad to know that my messages are being well received.

HERE's SOME FACTS ABOUT SEC FOOTBALL

HERE's SOME FACTS ABOUT SEC FOOTBALL

Hope this is credible. It came from secsports.com.

During the last five seasons, the SEC has sent 36 teams to postseason bowl games, the most of any conference in the nation. Eleven of the SEC's 12 teams have been to bowls during that time. The conference with the next most bowl bids in the last five years is the Big Ten with 32 trips.

Setting the Standard for Excellence

For the 20th straight season, the SEC recorded the largest total attendance figure of any conference in the nation. In 2000, more than 5.1 million fans passed through the turnstiles at SEC stadiums. Conference stadiums were filled to an average of 94.8 percent during the 2000 season.

Seven SEC schools placed in the top 11 in average attendance last season, according to the NCAA. Tennessee (2), LSU (5), Florida (6), Georgia (7), Alabama (8), Auburn (9) and South Carolina (11) finished in the top 11 in average attendance during the 2000 season.

The SEC sent an NCAA-record nine teams to postseason bowl games in 2000. The SEC sent eight teams to bowl games in 1998 and 1999. At the time, it was the first time eight teams from a conference had been to bowls in one season. Eleven of the 12 SEC teams have been to postseason bowls in the last two seasons.

Since 1992 (first year of divisional play), the SEC is 252-70-2 (.781) in regular season non-conference contests. In 15 of the last 21 seasons, no league has posted a better non-conference regular season winning percentage than the SEC. Last season, the SEC was 27-9 (.750) in non-conference regular season games, tied for first in the nation.

The SEC has placed 13 teams in the top four finishers of the Men's College World Series since 1990. Only twice, 1992 and 1994, has the SEC failed to get a team in the top four.

Since 1990, the SEC has posted a .717 non-conference winning percentage, best in the nation. Last season, the league recorded a 249-100-2 mark against out-of-conference foes, a .712 winning percentage.

Since 1990, 51 SEC teams have finished in the final Collegiate Baseball poll, while 46 have appeared in the final Baseball America poll and 42 in the final Baseball Weekly poll. SEC BASKETBALL FACTS

SEC BASKETBALL FACTS

Setting the Standard for Excellence

Six SEC men's teams made the NCAA Tournament and four others went to the NIT last season. It was the fourth time in SEC history that six teams made the NCAA field. The 10 teams making postseason competition is the most in SEC history.

Once again last season, the SEC led the nation in non-conference winning percentage, achieving a record of 131-38, a 77.5 winning ratio.

Ole Miss coach Rod Barnes was named the Naismith National Coach of the Year while Kentucky guard/forward Tayshaun Prince was named to the Wooden Award All-America Team. Barnes was named the SEC Coach of the Year and Prince was the SEC Player of the Year. Ole Miss' Justin Reed was named the SEC Freshman of the Year.

The SEC has the highest winning percentage of any conference during the last eight NCAA Tournaments. Since 1994, the SEC has posted a 75-38 record, a 66.4 winning percentage.

Every SEC team has made at least one appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1995. Nine of the 12 SEC teams have appeared in the NCAA Tournament more than once during that span.

Since 1994-95, the SEC is the only conference to have every team ranked at least six weeks in the Associated Press Top 20 (excluding post-season poll).

MONK we may not win your conference football title every year, BUT we would come in 2nd through 13th when we dont win it , and the winners would be derserving of a national title.

I dont want to be taken wrong.I have all the respect for Nebraska's football program.I watched them 2 times in person kick Tennessee ass.And Kansas is a big time basketball school every year.I think top to bottom,SEC is best conference in America. The BIG 12 woold be second and after that every other conference is waaay back.Big 10 has great football and basketball but the baseball programs are horrible.ACC has 2 of basketballs best teams and the rest of the teams are all respectable. The football in the ACC is the worst. The pac 10 is coming back in Football. And they always have solid basketball teams. Its just there weak teams are always real weak.Like I said before...this is just my opinion...what does it really matter.I want to win some money while I drink beer and watch March Madness.I just got back from the Dr and found out I tore my stomach muscle. So Ill soon be buzzing on pain killers.Only probably is...no golf. And its 75 and sunny outside.Suck a yard!!:D

Wait a minute, before you start getting "copy and paste" crazy with statistical accomplishments, keep one thing in mind. The Big 12 was formed less than 7 years ago while the SEC has been in existence since 1932. You're citing historical events that took place 21 years ago.

If you read anything I posted earlier in this thread, you would see where I specifically said that the SEC ruled the 90's. I never disputed that. My argument is that the Big 12 is the better football conference in the new millenium. Here let me help you out:

The SEC definitely was above the rest in the mid 90's but I would give the Big 12 the nod for the most dominating in the new millenium.

If you can dispute that, let me hear it. If not, you're wasting your time.

LARGE, Mississippi St. was by far the most overrated football team in Div. 1 last year. I can see why you would be quick to support the conference as a whole. I guess a 3-8 record didn't exactly help your arguments in this matter either.

Most dominating in the new millenium!!!Hmmmh!!Let's see...

2000-2001 Bowl Results

Big 12
4-3
SEC
4-5

2001-2002

Big 12
3-5
SEC
5-3

In the millenium the Big 12 has dominated college football with 7 bowl wins and 8 bowl losses. The SEC had put 2 more teams in bowls and has a winning record of 9-8 in those bowls.Like I said before...I have all the respect in the world for Nebraska's program. But I wouldnt say that the Big 12 has dominated the new millenium just yet.

Big 12 will dominate the next decade or so for this reason -- we finally have coaches that will recruit our talent....namely players from the state of Texas......Florida is the only state even competitive with Texas but still, we have way more quantity.....enough to spread around the league......FLorida has to share their talent with FSU and Miami......Texas non big 12 schools U of H, SMU, TCU, and Rice are a laughing stock and no one wants to go to them. Those schools get the scrubs.

Finally we are keeping Michigan, ND, and other schools away from most of our top recruits. Staying in the Big 12. Coach Mack, Stoops, Snyder and co. are keeping the Texas boys home.......
