Pick on the DALLAS STARS

UCLA vs. USC (NCAAB) - 10:00 PM EST Premium Play
Pick: Point Spread: 6/-105 USC Play Title:

Pick on USC. Trojan head coach Tim Floyd is 25-11 ATS as an underdog, including 17 outright wins. Two of those were against UCLA. Southern Cal is on a 6-2 ATS run the last eight games played. They are coming off a loss, which is good for us. The Trojans have covered the spread 20 of the last 28 times they played after a loss. Plus, they rise to the occasion, as they have covered four in a row against winning teams and are 9-3 ATS the last 12 home games versus a team that has a better than .600 record on the road. As well as UCLA has played this season, they have lost four in a row to the spread when playing a winning team. USC has a solid team and I expect a very close game. Take the points.

Miami Florida vs. Georgia Tech (NCAAB) - 1:00 PM EST Premium Play
Pick: Point Spread: 4.5/-108 Miami Florida Play Title:

Pick on MIAMI-FL Miami a solid 8-2-2 ATS last 12 on the road. Miami has gone 4-1 ATS last 5 in this match-up and today will be no different. There isn't much of a home court advantage and I like the way Miami-FL has played. They play good defenive and knock down FT's. Take the DOG to WIN OUTRIGHT!

East vs. West (NBA) - 8:35 PM EST Free Play
Pick: Point Spread: 7/-109 East Play Title: Free Pick

East vs. West This is a battle of the games biggest and best stars the league has to offer. Even with all the injuries the East squad is still a worthy opponent as they take on an overly stacked West squad which is high in guards. Look for the East to win this shoot out down in New Orleans as Jason Kidd dishes the ball left and right leading to an Eastern Conference victory. Play East

NCAAB: UCLA Bruins at Southern California Trojans - Over 130.5 -110 | Unit Value: 2

Game Date: 2/17/2008
Note: Make no mistake about it. We are going to see a lot of good defense in this contest. On the court today we have the #8 and #13 best D efficiency teams in the country. The Trojans are somewhat hampered though with severe injury problems. That is one of the reasons why we have such a low total line for this contest. Actually though, most UCLA/USC Total lines are set within a 126 to 133 range for as long as I can remember. The last 3 of 4 have gone over the mark and they have done so due to close games toward the end. These two squads absolutely despise each other and when they play we generally see our fair number of fouls. That lends itself to very many free throw attempts toward the end of the game and with both having better than average free throw shooting skills, that is going to be a bonus for us. Despite the injuries to the home team, they will be ready to compete today and we have already seen them beat the Bruins once this year. Both of these squads have outstanding shooters and both have outstanding offensive efficiency. They are ranked #3 and #68 in the country and they also have average pace. More than anything else, this is a value play with a total line set 5 to 7 points too in my opinion. The Bruins have been shooting as good as they have all year and they have put up some big numbers. They will be extremely motivated today to beat this team that has given them only 1 of 3 losses on this campaign. That alone may be enough to get us a win. Play up to 134

5-4 (2-unit)
61-42 (1-unit)

663/664 Seton Hall @ West Virginia UNDER 148.5 (1-unit)

The Mountaineer?s appeared that they were going to be a run and gun team in the non conference portion of the schedule putting up an average of 84.23 ppg and having a pace of 71+. How ever during conference play the pace and scoring has dramatically changed. The scoring has fallen to 65.4 ppg and the pace has drop to 64.4.

West Virginia has played up-tempo conference opponents in Notre Dame, Marquette, Syracuse and Providence. The only game that surpassed 70 possessions was the early season conference game against Notre Dame and that barely crept over the figure. The other three were played to sub 70 pace. Mountaineer conference games have averaged 126.9 ppg and no conference game has exceeded 144 total points.

Only two Pirate games have played over 80 possessions and each of those games was against 70+ possession teams in Connecticut and Notre Dame. The last two Pirate games should have been very up-tempo with games against Villanova and Marquette. Both of these games played near a 70 possession pace.

The Mountaineers have also shot the ball poorly during conference play hitting only 39.4% from the field. The Pirates have also shot the ball poorly in conference games shooting only 40.7% from the field.

The Mountaineer?s are one of the better defensive teams in the league with a defensive efficiency of 91.7, which is #19 in the nation. I?m pretty sure that this will be another sub 70 possession game for the Mountaineer?s as all but the first conference game was. The Pirates have had four straight games where they have shot <40% averaging 66 ppg and now are facing one of the top defensive conference opponents.

The Pyrates will play the games a little slower with the season ending injury to Paul Gause. "When Paul was healthy, we were able to press more," said Gonzalez, whose team is now down to nine players. "Now we've got to pick our spots. We can't press as much." Gonzalez also called out his team for a lack of toughness, so we should se a better effort today.

UCLA over USC* by 11

Monster off an embarrassing loss. USC is off a
lopsided defeat, too, but they're the team with
the injured starting point guard Daniel Hackett.
UCLA wants the Pac 10 title and the #1 NCAA Seed
in the West and it will start slipping away from
them unless they exploit USC's existing disadvantage
tonight. UCLA, 68-57.
