And? Are you state bound?
Last night was very very bittersweet. We felt a game short of state playoffs.. We played our asses off, did the gameplan to perfection, clogged the center, countered when the time allowed, and contained there attacks in workmanlike fashion.. for the second straight game we played 0-0 to a shootout, which in HS soccer in PA is 80 minutes of regulation and 30 minutes of extra time (golden goal ET).. In the shooutout every shooter was perfect, each shot not savable shots .Our 4th shooter hit the crossbar, she was inconsolable after, the bus ride home and leaving the school. Felt just awful for her because she thought she lost us the game which in fact as one of out 2 center backs was one of the main reasons we got this far.. we could not have been more proud of out performance. We were honestly the better team for long stretches, until ET when they had us under siege for long stretches.... could ot of been more happy to be there coach and have such wonderful players.. this morning we got an email from our AD which brightened my day and really hit home with what we are doing..

JC and Emil,

Just received 2 phone calls this morning concerning our girls soccer team that I wanted to share with you.

John Rosa, the Athletic Director from Freedom, couldn't have been more complementary about our team and our coaches. " Your girls played their hearts out. They have nothing to be ashamed of. Played a great game and showed a tremendous amount of class even in defeat". He went on to say what a great coaching job our staff had done, in preparing our team and coming up with a great game plan. He acknowledged that we were the only team this year to shut them out. He went on to say, as you had mentioned to me last night," we have 5 or 6 girls who at anytime can score a goal but your kids never blinked and never got out of position played great defense and your goalie played tremendous".

I then got a call from Bruno Swartz, the WPIAL game manager from last night and legendary coach in this area. He to couldn't have been more complementary about our team and our coaches.
He was particularly impress by the coaching strategy and preparation of our team. "They couldn't have done anything more to win that game. Your coaches had a tremendous game plan and the girls executed it to the fullest. Your goalie came up big on a number of occasions. Even when they lost they did so with grace and dignity".

Emil and JC great job. I know it is tough to lose and this email doesn't make it any easier, but when you impress people enough that they feel compelled to make these types of phone calls that says volumes to what you are accomplishing. I know you and Emil are doing a tremendous job teaching and coaching our girls not only about soccer but life lessons as well.

Thank You and Congratulations on a great season.

Congratulations Kid!

My Father was a long-time high school coach so I have a lot of experience here. Hard to take losses but in the end what you teach the kids about soccer, and more importantly, about life is much more important. I see it all the time in the love and respect my Father's former players have for him. Sounds like your doing a great job!!

Tough weekend to cap for me as this weekend is sandwiched between Cup games and Champions/Euro next week. Just tough to get a gauge on many teams. I will sit back and watch Schalke/Dortmund as this game is always a war. Hundreds already arrested outside the stadium.

Watford-135 stands out to me in the Premier League. Hull is not a very good team. Had a hot start but has been in very poor form in the League. Watford on the other hand has played great lately. Hull won in the Cup this week while Watford was off. I think this is a good situation and hence a sizable play.

Nice there Kid!

Nice there Kid!

My dad was a coach too. He loved it and the kids loved him. He's 92 now, and visited this summer with the kids he coached to the state gymnastics title - who were holding their 50th High School Reunion!

Sunday I'm on:

12:30 PM SOC [202434] FC Koln -165 over Hamburg SV (GERMANY - BUNDESLIGA)

K?ln is hungry to bounce back after their first lost of the season, now at home (unbeaten last 7 there) vs a team at the bottom of the table, missing their captain and Emir Spahic...

I am throwing a couple bucks on Southhampton +235. Line is getting hit hard in Chelsea's favor but they have not been impressive on the road (only win is a at Hull). I think the Pk+125 is a solid play, but I am going for the larger payout since I have had a very good weekend (plus the NFL card is crap this week).
