Man U +.5 6* to win 5*
Man U 3* to win 8.4*

English community shield

Chelsea 3* to win 3.3*

Couple early futures that have really caught my attention.

England top southern club

Southampton 15* to win 10* (between Southampton, Bournemouth, and Brighton)
Newcastle 16* to win 10* top promoted club (Brighton & Huddersfield)

La Liga

Atletico to win 1* to win 33* (doubt this has a chance but with the odds and Madrid and Barca slowly getting old it's always worth a try for me)

Europa League

Last year I had Man U from the start winning it and they got into the CL with it. Something tells me arsenal may have to do the same thing to get a CL spot.

Arsenal 5* to win 35*

Well today was an interesting day considering there was not much action. West Ham drew a 4th division German club recently promoted from 5th division. Bayern and Dortmund lose and St. Pauli beats Stoke. Oh and the one Champions League game looked totally fixed at the end.

Champions League

I like a lot of games tomorrow as there are a lot of good home set ups that I prefer in the home and home format. On the surface Ludogorets, Rijeka, Warszawa, Istanbul, Bate, Apoel and Copenhagen all look like plays at home. That is a lot of plays for me so I am going to narrow it down to the three I like the most.

Ludogorets -135. They lost 2-0 on the road. This is probably my favorite situation as they do not necessarily advance with a home win. I like Sheva at home but not on the road. They failed at Celtic last year in Euro and I think they will lose this game. Ludogorets has won 7 of 12 at home in the Champions League qualifying and they went to the group stages last year.

Warszawa -145. Same situation here as they lost 3-1 on the road in the first game. They were embarrassed in that game but bounced back in league play and have won 13 straight games at home. Astana is also in decent form but I think the Poles have too much fire power for them at home.

Rijeka +135. They managed a 1-1 draw on the road. Salzburg has never made it to the group stages and usually lose in this round. They also had a poor home draw over the weekend while Rijeka has started their season 3-0. While a draw is a possibility here, I am betting against Salzburg and think Rijeka will pull out a low scoring game.

There is good value with Bate +235, so I will probably use them in a parlay with Apoel and Copenhagen.

Yup, great start all around. Rijeka was the game I had the most concern about as I had some concerns about the draw. It was a bad game. Good day though. Not playing anything in Europe tomorrow. Will focus on the weekend.

Not sure how others feel about Marseille today, but this is one Europa match I love. They took care of Oostende at home last week and I don't think they will have a problem in Belgium today. Marseille seriously outclasses them in talent, brought in some great transfers in the offseason and I think this is an underrated squad that will contend for the top spot in Ligue 1 this season.

The only thing I'll say is if you really feel they outclass their opponent you gotta go with your gut. 4-2 first leg shows it should be an open game and with a team needing to overcome a few goals that should leave them exposed at the back. If they are that outmatched you'd think Marseilles would capitalize on a few

Friday

Bundesliga 2

Union Berlin -135. Looks too easy to me. One of the better teams in the league at home against one of the lesser teams. Berlin was impressive on the road last week and were money at home last year. I expect them to take care of business and I expect this line to climb some. I really thought it would be -160. Holstein was promoted this year and is an entertaining high scoring team, but they are stepping up in class, so I do not expect them to score as much against the better teams.

Darmstadt Pk+115. Smaller play and also a play against Kaiserslautern who looked awful last week. Last year their defense was strong but they lost most of the back line and they have yet to look good. Darmstadt is expecting to move back up this year and have made a couple key additions. I think they can win this game but will play in on the PK since Fritz-Walter is historically a tough place to play.


Championship

Derby County Pk+110. Sunderland sucks. They lost 5-0 last week to Celtic's B/C team. They lost their 2 best players in Defoe and Pickford and have not made any significant additions. Derby has a new coach and should be about the same team they were last year. This is more of a play against Sunderland who I think will not be heard from in the premier league for some time as their luck finally ran out last year.


France

Monaco -1.5 -120. Not a big play nor one that I typically make, but I expect Monaco to come out strong at home against a Toulouse side that finished 13th in the table last season. Lots of changes at Monaco but they are still a strong young side and I expect them to have another good season.
