All great points fellas. Just thought with no Sanchez they still have enough power up top.. wish I had the over .. arsenal have so much possession but some stupid and careless mistakes been costly .. I'd like to think they win the 2nd half? Anyone have thoughts or just stick with arsenal at this point ?

Quite a meltdown late for the Foxes. Have to say, I wasn't shocked watching the second half. Arsenal dominated possession and gave themselves plenty of opportunities. Congrats on the win and the push, PK.

Yea Bason if I had foxes in any way I'd prob be sick.. I didn't hear announcers. They had gold volume on at flamingo so didn't hear any of that conversation but just glad to get the win ... I know I'll have some unlucky ones throughout the year so I'll take it when I can get it

Short write ups as I am still a little irritated.

Palace -125

I think Huddersfield is definitely going back down, so if Palace can not beat them at home they have serious problems of their own. Line is a little questionable to me as I thought it would be higher.

Watford +1 -120

Just a feeling that Liverpool struggles a little here as they have a tough Champion's League game coming up on Tuesday at Hoffenheim. Very important for them to advance, so think there focus is there rather than this game.

Sweet call here. Goals are flying in through two EPL games

Thanks. Crazy start to the season.

I think we will see goals in the Man City game also. Will play 1H and game, but going to wait to see how Palace does before I make the wagers.

Pathetic performance by Palace. They are now number 1 on the list for relegation.

Playing City Over 1 1H -150 and Over 3 -115 for a good size play.

Really hate the way Brighton & Hove played that game. First game in the Premier League in forever, at home against a top team and you bunker down and pray for a 0-0 draw. Cowardly soccer in my opinion. They will be going back down. I would understand if it is the back end of the season and you need a result, but not in the opening game. Been a frustrating couple of days for me.

Even though I am not thrilled with the offseason moves from Newcastle (they really should have made a move for a premier player), I think they, unlike Hove, will be a spirited group tomorrow. While I like their chances, I am making one play now, the over 2.5 -125. We should see goals here, if not, I may take a week or so off since my decision making seems a little off right now. I will play the game if the line goes to +1.

Shelvey handed them this game with a ridiculous red card. Tottenham was uninspired in the first half and ripe for the taking. Harry Kane looked bad in preseason and played the same today. Should have scored twice in this game. Just running cold right now, so will take a break.

I know I was taking a break, but I really like one play today, and while my league plays have not been great lately, I have been doing very well in the Champions League.

Istanbul+.5-130. People don't know much about his team, but they can play. Plus, Turkey is a brutal place to play on the road. This team has not lost at home in over a year. It will very be a very hostile environment. Plus, Sevilla is not a very good road team. They have only won one game out of their last 10 Champions League away games. You get a good number here because people just play the Sevilla name and never heard of Istanbul. I will take the plus .5 every day with a team with their home record, with the added benefit here of Sevilla's poor road performance. I also sprinkled a little on the +250.

Seem to be cursed on here right now, so I will be taking a break from posting (I mean it this time). My system of posting limited plays is backfiring right now as everything else I am playing seems to win except for what I post, so seems like a good time to reevaluate.

-2.2* on year. Beginning of seasons as with last two have always been like
Trucking through mud early on for me.. meh...
sorry everyone for being mia a few days.. got back from Vegas on red eye Sunday morning then started tow a days Monday morning And been busy coaching since. Have a bit of time before bed and such so wanted to touch base. Favorite time of year for me with actual HS season starting. Plus pro soccer leagues underway

Europa

Ludogorets FH 19* to win 10* (steep early season but like it)
Midtjylland +.5 3* to win 2*
Bate 3.3* to win 3*
Ac Milan FH -1 5* to win 4*

EPL

Leicester 4.2* to win 3*
Huddersfield/Newcastle draw 1* to win 2.2*
Man U -1 18* to win 10* right now they have to like this spot, very winnable games to collect points with no other competitions going on so focus is on these games.

Adding a big future (play within means and at own risk but I like this)

Man U wins a trophy 15* to win 15*
(Major Trophies: England Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup & UEFA Champions League) from bovada

Hey Bason, I know you've had a rough go of it lately posting plays, but I'd strongly encourage you to keep placing your thoughts and leans on games in this forum. We need you in here, despite how you might feel about you recent bad breaks. You are a solid football handicapper and, if anything, posting here keeps the gears turning and can help in the long run. So, if you feel inclined, please keep us informed of your thoughts on upcoming matches, whether you are betting them or not. I look forward to a solid run on posted plays when you feel like coming back. Don't be discouraged by short term adversity, especially this early in the season when outcomes are erratic.

Thanks DZ and Kid! I appreciate it. I remain confident in my plays, I am just frustrated that I keep posting the wrong games for the board. I play more than I post, but I do not like to post a lot of plays. It is a long story but my money management system for soccer is completely different than other sports. It is not something I think is best for others to adopt, especially those relatively new to soccer betting and without larger bankrolls, which is why I do not share.

I simply want to post winners so you and others can benefit from my many years of experience capping this sport. Kid has created a great thread and I like the positivity in here, which is why I continue to post. I no longer share anywhere else on the web because I could not stand the negativity. I also no longer cap German games for a larger betting syndicate (another long story). You hit 70% of your plays for a couple weeks, then lose a few in a row and people are all over you. I now simply want to enjoy betting the game I love and hopefully be useful to a few others out there.

Okay, enough of that. I will share what I played today.

Ludogorets Ov 3 -115
Panethinaikos +.5 -125
Viitorul +.5 +110
Brugge -130

I do not love the Euro league as it is much less predictable than the Champion's League and I never make larger bets on the early rounds, but I do stick to the same betting strategy. I mostly favor home teams, especially ones playing better teams where I can get +.5 at home in the first leg. These teams may not have much of a chance on the road but have a good chance for at least a draw at home. Utrecht was solid yesterday and most of the home teams in the Champions League were money the last two days. Obviously, it doesn't always work out as Istanbul proved yesterday, but it has worked well for me over time. The format for these games provides unique gambling angles versus league games that can be exploited, especially for the second leg. Will expand more on that next week.

Bayern -1.5 -150

Not going to write much about this, but I will say that my bet will be multiples of what I lost on all these smaller games the last few days combined. Bayern has not looked great in the pre-season, but there is a reason this line is where it is and it will go to -2 everywhere overnight (I will play the -1.5 and -2). Last two years, Bayern has opened the season 6-0 and 5-0. They will make a statement again tomorrow night that this is their title to lose. Leverkusen looks worse than last year, has a terrible record at Bayern (30-6-3) and is a poor road team in general. 16 of the last 19 Bayern home wins are by 2 or more goals. 4-0 Bayern. Big play.

Despite the kind words, I will be taking a break posting if I do not win this game. Not going to cost you guys any more money.

Sloppy game from Bayern as they could not finish like they usually do, plus I was not impressed with their back line, but a win is a win.

Leicester -135. This line is off in my opinion. No way B&H should be getting any respect right now. I like the way Leicester played last week and I like them even more at home.

Burnley +155/Pk-135. Another line that is drawing questions. Since when does West Brom get this much respect on the road where they won only 3 games last year? Burnley is a good home side which is the only reason they stayed up since they only got 3 points once on the road last year. They have already done that this year with the huge win last week. I do not see a let down in front of the home fans. I think they will be pumped and get a result here. I will play both lines with more on the Pk to hedge some against the draw.

Mainz Even. Just not ready to buy Hannover on the road in the Bundesliga yet. Mainz barely stayed up last year, but they did what they needed to do at home against the lower part of the league. Think they get the win here.

Leipzig/Schalke Ov 2.5 -115. Leipzig attacks and they were very strong on the road last year. Schalke only lost 4 games at home last year and I think they may have a more attacking style under Tedesco with a revamped midfield.

Usually I would be all over the Bremen Ov 3, but I am a little cautious given its opening weekend combined with the fact that Hoffenheim is off a disappointing home Champions League loss to Liverpool. So going to lay off especially since I really like a couple games on Sunday.
