Had it also Penguin! I really don't like the MLS but I do like Giovinco. Can't say it was the luckiest cash I ever had but it was a good one. Also pushed the Real over 4 with 2 late ones, not in extra time though. I will say Real did not look so good today. Had it with Benzema, his time is up. Had 7 chances today and could not put one away. We will be seeing him in the MLS in a couple years.

Nothing today tt. These lower level cup games are very difficult to cap since it is tough to get information on many of the teams, especially the U21 teams. Plus, I am spending my time working on all the qualifiers later this week. I will post some tomorrow or Thursday morning.

World Cup Qualifiers

I will be up early tomorrow morning as probably the most interesting game of the weekend starts at 6:30 a.m. EST.

Australia visits Japan in an extremely important game. Japan sits 1 point above Australia in the standings and Aussies sit tied with Saudi Arabia after their loss this week. If Japan wins they are in. If Aussies lose they have to win next game at home against Thailand, who they lost to on the road, and hope they win by more than Saudi Arabia, who happens to be at home against Japan. Yes, it is very interesting. Have to think that Australia, while they would love a win, will totally play for the draw and try to catch Japan on the counter. Similar to how they played Chile in the Confederation's Cup. While they can lose and still advance, goal differential will be a factor to avoid the playoff. My take is that Australia likes their chances against Thailand at home, so a draw would be a great result. Of course Japan feels this is a must win game. If they lose the next two they fall into a difficult playoff in Asia and then against CONCACAF. Like I said, a very interesting game to watch. Betting is more difficult in my opinion. Either a draw or an under to me, neither a big play.

Brazil/Ecuador. Brazil is on fire and already qualified. Ecuador is fighting for their lives. Brazil has scored 2 or more goals in all 11 WCQs. Ecuador has scored at least one goal in all 9 away WCQs and games have been over 2.5 in last 6. Everything points to the over and we have Brazil playing lose. I will take the Ov 2.5 -135. I expect this line to climb.

Argentina/Uruguay game is huge. Argentina is one point ahead of them and in 5th place. They need this win and Uruguay is in poor form, but I do not like betting against them at home. Bolivia has not won a WCQ on the road since Jesus roamed the earth but no sure I trust Peru to win by 2 goals. Remember, without the DQ games for Bolivia they would be right with Peru in the standings. Chile games have gone over 2.5 in their last 5 WCQs.

Europe is tough tomorrow. France/Holland is the marquee match up. Both teams have not been stellar in qualifying. France is completely loaded and Holland is putting the old team together (vanPersie, Sneijder and Robben). Should see some goals here, but not sure why the line is not higher. Playing the Ov 2.5 -115.

I am also playing Portugal -3.5 -130 over Faroe Islands. They beat them 6-0 there and they need to win this game. I usually do not like to lay this type of goals, but I expect a 4 or 5 to nil game.

Others I am still deciding on include: Hungary -1.5 Even (won 2-0 at Latvia), Cyprus +1 Ev (tough place to play) and Switzerland Un 4.5 -110 (Andorra can't score but they play some defense, Swiss won 2-1 there).

USA -135. Playing this now as I expect this line to climb. I do not love this US squad but this is a must win game in my opinion especially after losing 4-0 in Costa Rica. They have not lost since that game and I expect them to play a spirited match. They have won 13 of 14 WCQ at home. That is hard to ignore. Plus, I do not think Costa Rica has been at its best lately.

A lot to take in as there is a lot going on. I will try to add some more thoughts/definitive plays tomorrow based on overnight line movements.

I am playing the Un4.5 in the Swiss game, it is now -130.

I would play Hungary only at -1 as I simply do not trust them at 1.5. Would consider a parlay with Columbia and/or Chile to spread the risk out. Laying off Cyprus.

Also adding Sweden Ov 2 -145 as a small play based on the line move overnight.

If I win some in Euro, I will likely add to the Brazil over.

That is more like it. Crushed it in Euro today.

Not going to add to Brazil Ov as I have a lot risked at 2.5 and it is at 3 everywhere now. Will add the Ov 2.5 -125 in Chile. Their last 5 WCQs have gone over 2.5 and they need this game so I expect them to be very aggressive.

Yeah, Brazil just could not get the early goal they needed to win big. They completely dominated this game but just took too long to get the first goal. Only loss of the day though, so it was a very good day.

USA is already in for tomorrow.

Given today's sweep in Europe, I will take some profits and take it easy tomorrow, but of course I will make some plays:

Germany Ov 2.5 -125. Think Germany is simply too strong for the Czechs. Could see them scoring 3.

Lithuania +.5 +110. I do not think Scotland should be -130 on the road against any team with a pulse. Could be wrong, but I will gladly take a half goal at home.

N. Ireland -2.5 -145. San Marino sucks! Northern Ireland needs the 3 points to be in great shape to get to Russia, so I do not think they screw around in this game. Should be 4-0. This line will likely go to 3 soon just like Portugal moved overnight.

USA is up to -165!

Adding a little to Germany over based on the line movement. Big move in N. Ireland line overnight as they are now -3 -140. Like that 2.5!

Do not like the movement in the Lithuania game. Still not sure why Scotland is getting so much love. I am making a very small play on Lithuania +460 just for the hell of it.

My distaste for US soccer continues. There is so much wrong with this team I don't have the time or patience to write about it. Problem is I may have to bet the US at the half because I do not see them winning this game.

Screw it, not betting them. Going to take the loss since I have been hitting most everything else.

I have a serious issue with US Soccer playing this game in New Jersey. Horrible choice. They are hammering the defense about the goal but Howard was way off his line and it was a big mistake. Taylor Twellman is an idiot.

Going to finish capping Euro for tomorrow and start watching the Navy game!

Good Luck this season Kid!

How does the team look? Prediction?

We're going to be really good but we don't have that out and out striker so scoring will be by committee. Also I never Mentioned this but it's going to be an emotional weekend next two days . Over the winter our starting sophomore keeper passed away. Just absolutely awful and something I don't want anyone to have to experience as a coach. Our tournament we host is renamed in her honor for this weekend. We should win tomorrow im going to say 3 or 4-0. Sunday we will prob play a quad A school which is 2 classifications higher than us which is and will be a good test. I'm going to predict we go (18 regular season games 12 are conference) 13-5 and 9-3 in conference. Our possession and technical side is really good just have to but the ball in the old onion bag lol

With regards to my plays.. I will get it turned around, promise
