You are dumb. Clearly, you haven't read the article

I am not reading an article about taking away guns, its not the problem, its mental health that is the issue, do you know how many people are on psychotropic drugs? 100% of the people who have done these mass shootings

Please.explain why regulating guns like we regulate automobiles for safety purposes is a bad idea?
Please note, no one is indicating we should ban all guns. While I think that would be pretty cool, I wouldn't reach that far. I'm simply thinking that regulation, just like we did with the automobile industry, can and would lead to less gun violence. Your thoughts?

I've always thought that many people truly believe that the gov is coming for all their weapons. Every single fucking one of them. They are too ignorant to understand otherwise and too stupid to educate themselves on the subject. The people that are wise enough to know better and could pass quality common sense legislation are bought off by the gun lobby and thrive on striking fear in the hearts of those folks. Hell, just get to know some of the personalities that post regularly in the political forum. That perfectly illustrates how dim some people truly are.

Sadly, it's not just a handful here. It's millions upon millions from coast to coast.

You are exactly like hedge in one way. Anytime rhe subject is broached, you immediately act as if people are trying to shut down gun shops and take people's weapons away. Settle down, breathe and address the issue like an adult, Hank

That's not his argument.

It?s correct, nonetheless. I worked in a 600 bed hospital in Las Vegas that would often have NO psych coverage. Patients would often have problems, and the Psychiatrist would be consulted, but there was nobody to consult. How is this possible? It?s not a unique to LV problem either.

Gun control scares me, but I?m willing to admit there is definitely a problem.

Euthanasia scares me as well.

Legalizing pot use to scare me. It doesn?t anymore. I have never smoked pot in my life, but I?m fine with legalizing it for those who would like to partake.

The argument I always see is that the nation?s strictest gun laws are in Chicago, and Chicago has the most gun crimes. I see it all the time; I?m not sure if it is true.

Again, gun control scares me. I?m willing to have the discussion though.:0008

Mental illness isn't indigenous to the U.S.

Every place on Earth has mental health concerns. BUT, every place on Earth doesn't have gun concerns.

At some point, people will realize we need to get rid of these weapons.

I would like to think mental health issues come along, too......but who knows? Ignorance is extremely powerful in the good old USofA.

Getting rid of Guns?
Do you not value the constitution at all.
You liberals are to stupid to realize that if things you do not like are removed
from the constitution or altered to one groups liking, sooner of later its going to
happen to something you value. But I am sure you liberals think that as long as
you idiots are the ones deciding whats acceptable and what is not everything will be great.

My argument is mental health is the reason these lunatics are committing these crimes not guns. Last week it was a crazy man with a rented van, Tim McVeigh used fertilizer...Why is there no call to ban vehicles? Or fertilizer?

But when a man goes crazy and kills many people its the guns fault, I do not follow the logic.

This is why I am an advocate of teachers being able to carry, do you think a lunatic will shoot up a school knowing someone there could have a gun and kill them? Or being to carry on an airplane:shrug: More guns in the hands of good people less crime.

The correct word to use here is "too" stupid. It's not "to" stupid or "two" stupid. But by all means, please continue.

You don't understand the logic? It's been explained to you more than enough. Trucks, although they can kill people, we're not designed to kill people. Guns, on the other hand, have one purpose. To kill. You really can't be as ignorant as you come off.

Did you read the article? This issue is not about liberal or conservative, the latter of which being where I most often pigeonholed. With our gun laws being as lax as they are, it is not really a surprise that we lead the world in gun violence per capita. Regulation of firearma is something that I feel is no-brainer. However, when is brought up the majority of gun owners start clamoring about their guns being taken away from them and liberal agendas and all this other nonsense. Read the article, let me know what about the article you disagree with. This should lead us to a reasonable discussion
