540 billionaires

There are 540 billionaires in the United States, with a combined net worth of $2.399 trillion, according to our 2016 list of the world's richest people. That's more billionaires and more combined net worth than any other nation in the world.Mar 5, 2016

America?s gun homicide rate is more than 25 times the average of other high-income countries.
An analysis of gun homicide rates in developed countries? those considered ?high-income? by the World Bank ? found that the United States accounted for 46 percent of the population but 82 percent of the gun deaths.

and somehow we don't put people in position of power to change this...

#1) Have ancestors who were in militias back in the 18th century, the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with a individual being able to purchase a military style weapon.
#2) I have a brother who is a teacher along with his wife. Dumbest idea ever. What's next? Require pastors/priests to be armed? My god some of you ARE insane. The article sums it up.

so those in government who don't want guns in the hands of citizens, what is their evil plan?

Second question, does historical context mean anything to you when reading that quote?

Lastly, a simple internet search shows George Washington likely wasn't the author of the quote. Just thought you'd like to know in case you wanted to stop spreading misinformation or gain some general knowledge.

To him and those of his ilk historical context means nothing (unless it's a change that would benefit them), they just need any and all archaic reasons to hang on to their guns as it gives them a sense of self worth and power over something.

They're tough guys who need to drive big pick em up trucks and fly rebel flags and be quick to holler that "they'll take my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands!!!". First off, deal. Second these would be the same tough guys shitting their pants if guns were outlawed and they were looking at jail time for not surrendering them.

Hold on, cowboy. I was asked a question, and I gave my honest answer. I don?t think I?m on Madjacks voicing far right gun rhetoric, am I? I said I was open for discussion. Attacking me is the wrong thing to do.

I'm sure you noticed the common theme of all the lefty's in here. They don't want to have a civil conversation, because they KNOW they are right. If you disagree with them they resort to name calling. :0008
