On the course!
Silver is nuts if he thinks they are going to get a "cut" on the gambling revenue.

Sports books run on a slim margin as it is. Gamblers will not pay the juice that will be required for books to make a profit.

Vegas isn't giving a cut to the League. Why should New Jersey?

MLB
NFL
NHL
NBA
PGA
NCAA
NASCAR

2% to each of them.......

Go ahead and risk -145 instead of -110

Not for me.

You've said it yourself you don't even wager on sports anymore. So you aren't even risking the -110 so why are you pissing and moaning about the -145. Stop being a debbie fucking downer all the time holy shit man.

Vegas by itself probably isn't big enough to ask for a cut, nor did those in charge of the leagues look at it as a CASH COW. 25-30 states with legal gambling, they are going to want their piece of the PIE under the current leadership of the leagues. This guy ain't no David Stern and SELIG is gone from MLB.......Most sport franchises don't care about the small time guys using their likeness or logos. Let them start making thousands , and you'll hear from them. Just my opinion I may be wrong.

they are asking for 1% of all wagers, most books make about 5% off bets. So the leagues want 20% of profits, that is not possible and it will not work.

I find it amusing that the leagues have been against gambling forever but now that they realize that Paspa may be on its way out they suddenly want it and a piece of the action.

They will make a shit ton more money off of tv viewership, ratings will go up on every sport with legal betting, eyeballs will be stuck on games till the end even if its a blowout due to money being bet on it.

The leagues are total hypocrites about this stuff. I think the most they should get is .25% like the New york bill has in it and they should not even get that.

The whole integrity argument is such horse shit.

If legal outs have to offer -125 odds or something it will cost the player and the book in the long run.

I think it becomes legal sooner rather then later and offshore books will still be around, they will be forced to offer more incentives to the player in bonuses reduced juice etc and by offering odds or smaller ncaa events like all mens hoops games womens hoops ncaa baseball etc, that legal books will not supply.

you don't get it the offshores cannot compete with usa they charge hefty fees to send money in and get money out.

also the millions of new jobs created putting tax dollars back in economy.

IT's like paying service fees to get your cash :mj07:
