Madjacks won't be going anywhere. :0008

I would assume this would help you out.

Legal sports betting would bring more assholes to the site like of all of us.

I know it has to scare you to know that Hedge is telling you that offshores will be going away, I mean when has that guy ever been wrong about something.

they are asking for 1% of all wagers, most books make about 5% off bets. So the leagues want 20% of profits, that is not possible and it will not work.

I find it amusing that the leagues have been against gambling forever but now that they realize that Paspa may be on its way out they suddenly want it and a piece of the action.

They will make a shit ton more money off of tv viewership, ratings will go up on every sport with legal betting, eyeballs will be stuck on games till the end even if its a blowout due to money being bet on it.

The leagues are total hypocrites about this stuff. I think the most they should get is .25% like the New york bill has in it and they should not even get that.

The whole integrity argument is such horse shit.

If legal outs have to offer -125 odds or something it will cost the player and the book in the long run.

I think it becomes legal sooner rather then later and offshore books will still be around, they will be forced to offer more incentives to the player in bonuses reduced juice etc and by offering odds or smaller ncaa events like all mens hoops games womens hoops ncaa baseball etc, that legal books will not supply.

First time I think I agree with something you said,,we are moving the needle!!It will be interesting as most illegal books in the USA already have a website they offer the local customer. I don't understand why people send their money to a site overseas they don't even know the location of? Then have to hope they get money IF they win?But thats just me,,,the difference is the convenience of the website versus going to the local sports store to place the wager...24/7 website,,,

For those of us that don't live in Nevada off-shore is the best choice currently. 24/7 access, lines on things the average local doesn't offer, the ability to shop for lines and bonuses. Not every bonus is worth taking, but some are.

As far as getting paid if you win, I have always stuck with sponsors here and never had a problem. That isn't to say that there haven't been problems, but there are problems with the local guy from time to time as well, you just don't hear about them.

All in, I'll be happier when it's legal in my state and I can run to the local casino and place a wager, but my hope it they offer an on-line option as well, I don't see why they wouldn't?

Agree 100 percent,,The locals here in Bham all have websites that they are piggybacking off of the offshore,,,and it is a great option,,and yes,,The great thing about Jacks site is he handles his business,,IF it is legalized and the state offers a website then you get in to a whole other issue of how to fund?Would you have to go in person or could you post with a credit card which will be a huge issue as people claim fraud etc,,It will be interesting to watch to say the least,,The locals give credit,,no way in HELL the state would,,you could post up with cash but too much cash makes people ask questions,,The local dog track here allows parlays only,,,and they tax winnings,,if you win 60 on a 3 teamer for 10 bucks, you actually on get around 54,,and ties LOSES,,,

IF it is legalized and the state offers a website then you get in to a whole other issue of how to fund?Would you have to go in person or could you post with a credit card which will be a huge issue as people claim fraud etc,,

Most books in Vegas offer a betting app for your smartphone. It can only be used within the limits of Nevada and you have to go in person to the sportsbook and post up in cash. I did that my last trip and it's super convenient. I didn't have to leave a poker table to make a bet or leave the restaurant, etc...

The day before I had to catch my flight home I went to the sportsbook window, showed my ID and cashed out what was in there.

Again, super convenient.

Vegas by itself probably isn't big enough to ask for a cut, nor did those in charge of the leagues look at it as a CASH COW. 25-30 states with legal gambling, they are going to want their piece of the PIE under the current leadership of the leagues. This guy ain't no David Stern and SELIG is gone from MLB.......Most sport franchises don't care about the small time guys using their likeness or logos. Let them start making thousands , and you'll hear from them. Just my opinion I may be wrong.

I know the numbers may not make sense and ADAM SILVER may be starting off HIGH at 1%, but they will get something. SILVER and the others know the numbers better than any of us. The Pro Leagues may not need it but the NCAA will definitely have to add on people to police the "fixing" which will potentially go on in the smaller schools. Basketball lines may be "bouncing" all over the place like the ASU scandel in the 90's....As if the NCAA won't be having enough problems

Vegas isn't giving a cut to the League. Why should New Jersey?

MLB
NFL
NHL
NBA
PGA
NCAA
NASCAR

2% to each of them.......

Go ahead and risk -145 instead of -110

Not for me.

That has been my point all along. I'm okay with this if we still have -110 or better options. I can make some good coin on some things at -110 but -120. Fuck that. Your break even jumps to 54.5% I believe.

And for the record i'm for whatever gambling they want to legalize but there should always be room for off-shore and if anything will get some of them to clean up their act. Most of these off-shores fucking suck ass. If they even let you bet.
