Stanford St Jude Championship - Winning Score (72 Holes)
Winning Score
Winning Score 06/07/07 (07:00 ET)
Under 271.5 (-130)

Would normally pass on the -130 but tourney scheduled prior to open this year has brought much stronger field than normal.

- - I've had my sights set toward here for My Huckleberry, but it was conditioned on solid evidence in his play that most of the hubbub of that first win was safely tucked away, and he has kindly obliged . . . Of interest to me that the draw lands this Good Ol' Boy in the same group with my second choice.

- - I prefer to look for reasons to piss on his parade, but I'm a believer in equal opportunity when I find reasons to support his chances. (He describes the course as "one of my favourites . . . The changes obviously make the course even better. I enjoy it." ~ bettingzone.co.uk)

Camilo Villegas(66/1) e.w.
- - So far he's pretty much sucked at strong return engagements.

Tough spot for him mentally. He rebounded nicely on 4 and seems to have settled in. I'm hoping for an immediate regression;)

GL on your plays.

:mj07: Immediate regression..

Yea hes too consistent of a player to blow up and shoot 85 and miss the cut badly. Real calm character. This course here seems like it has a little US Open to it. I mean the cut will be around +6 to +8 is my guess.

A nice early start for Stans boys ..

I always wonder how Bowditch gets invites to these events. The guy has all kind of problems, go back and check his past pga results :scared

Ogilvie spoke a/b he and Adam Scott playing Oakmont on Monday. He said Scott played extremely well, but I did not hear him mention anything a/b his own round.

Wow, senden closes out his round with a pair of doubles. :com: Also noticed Ogilvie bogied his last 3 holes. Can't imagine his mental state will be any better tomorrow after +8 w/ the Open on deck.

I will look to fade Senden and Geoff in day 2 matchups.

I like to see Elk close out the day on a solid note. Will look closely at playing him if I get a quality matchup.

Internet is finally working :00hour

Well looks like Kim recovered nicely

All of my matches are up and one is tied.
I dont like the fact Goosen looks like Goosen.. I think that matchup is in serious trouble. I hopefully will get lucky on the Senden one, we shall see.

Typical Goosen rounds.. through like 26 holes.. 24 pars 2 birdies. Amazing, considering how awful hes been since the masters

One last play this week..

John Senden -125 over Mark Calc

Sendens ball striking has been uncharacteristically poor the past few tourneys. He still leads the tour in GIR's and this course is perfect for his boring style of play. Calc has struggled here. He also failed to qualify for the Open earlier this week. I am hoping for 100 degree weather.. since Mark isnt the most in shape guy out on tour. All 4 plays this week are small.. hopin for 2 - 2 and or 3 - 1 .

Calc Withdraws :spotting:

I was actually worried about this matchup.. HELL YEA:SIB

Gay waits an hour to come back.. all he had left was a 40 footer on 18 to putt out. He nails it :scared

Anyway I need kim to finish at +5 and to make the cut. I hope Senden doesn't start off bad, because if he does I think he might wd since he will probably have to come back Saturday morning to finish up
