Interesting. I'll keep an eye on it.

The pressure from environmentalists regarding surface mining as well as the natural gas push by our current administration appear to be detractors. Otherwise, coal has proven to be a reliable resource for energy. Hope its profitable for you.

Just did. Might tail you on this one. Grew up in the area and my father was a former coalminer. Big business in that area.

Thanks,

Got in to GNVC under a dollar, it's having some nice movement the last couple of trading days, I wouldn't mind starting the year with a DNDN type move.

Just sold off BAC Friday pre-market for 17.18 had held since 3.15 a share. I made a good profit for sure.

I am going to short the NASDAQ heading into or during earnings. Many will likely sell into the rally. I am not as positive as others on this market. NDAQ is the symbol.

We lost millions of jobs and they are not going to return for years. Many more foreclosures to come as well. It would shock me if the dow is above 10,000 by the end of the year.

I am long Ford as well. Bought at 6.25 and keep for many years. They will dominate this market for years to come. GM is much deeper in shit than we know.

What do I know though. I had LEHMANS at one time:thefinger

Billionaire Investor Sees Economic Crash in China :sadwave:

James S. Chanos built one of the largest fortunes on Wall Street by foreseeing the collapse of Enron and other highflying companies whose stories were too good to be true.

Now Mr. Chanos, a wealthy hedge fund investor, is working to bust the myth of the biggest conglomerate of all: China Inc.

As most of the world bets on China to help lift the global economy out of recession, Mr. Chanos is warning that China's hyperstimulated economy is headed for a crash, rather than the sustained boom that most economists predict. Its surging real estate sector, buoyed by a flood of speculative capital, looks like "Dubai times 1,000 or worse," he frets. He even suspects that Beijing is cooking its books, faking, among other things, its eye-popping growth rates of more than 8 percent.

"Bubbles are best identified by credit excesses, not valuation excesses," he said in a recent appearance on CNBC. "And there's no bigger credit excess than in China." He is planning a speech later this month at the University of Oxford to drive home his point. :0corn

I think unless you are playing with your speculative cash, it is hard to really justify being in this market much.

I think we are set up for a bad collapse, but that's just me. No to very low risk investments is where any of my new money is going.

lotta people still raking in chips in this market.

should be an interesting week ahead and the kickoff with AA earnings announced today should set the tone.

good earnings = market pops up nicely
bad earnings = market pops up nicely.

easy to figure, huh?

a lot of people scratching their heads while sitting on the sidelines and a lot of people scratching their heads and losing their asses shorting the market.

i'll be watching closely with buttons ready to push either way. 2009 was a great year and hoping for the same in 2010.

Im not a huge market watcher, but had a question. I bought 6,000 shares of Ford when it hit a buck fifty early last year. The stock is now trading at around $11.75, do you guys that follow the market think I should take my earnings and run, or let it ride? I bought a shitload of Sirius Radio at the same time last year, but it has only risen about 30 cents, so I think I should hold onto that one.

I would lock in some profits for sure with that being said I would have sold it long before it got to $11.75 too.

Nice buy & hold :00hour
