Strikeforce knockout ace, KJ Noons has been talking about his upcoming welterweight title shot against Strikeforce champion, Nick Diaz, on Ocotober 9th.

?Easy answer, yes. He?s the best at 170, and I get to kind of kill two birds with one stone. I get to fight the best, and I get to move up and fight for a title also. There?s motivation because no matter how much trash talk, this or that, all the bad (expletive) I can say about Nick, he?s still a good fighter. No matter how you look at it, he?s got the title, he?s beaten a lot of good guys, and he?s the best at 170. You can?t ignore that fact.?

?I would have to be stupid to think that he?s just going to come out and stand and bang. I?m sure there will be some emotion, but I?ve got my game plan too. He?s the same fighter as we fought back then. A little bit bigger, maybe he got a little bit better, but so have I. You ask me, he?s the same fighter. Bring my belt, that?s all I?m saying. Bring my strap.?

Ordered my tickets for Saturday. Will be the first time I have seen Diaz fight live. I think he is an amazing fighter and in truth DOES belong to be in the UFC

Exactly!! He's the best at 170 even if he is hood and a jerk. I'm tired of him fighting chitty strikeforce though. He needs to get back n the ufc, fight in January then may then get his title shot in the winter of 2011. Nobody can bear him. Case closed.

Hey Mr. Kegray, we didn't discuss the length of my punishment. Did you have something in mind for the length of time I had to have this pic on my avatar?

Overall 41-26 +44.08 units

Opinions 6-8 +2.1 units(always .5unit bets)

Noons +190 2units

I really want to make this a bigger play but I have a goal of +50 by the end of the year and I already know how I'm getting there so I can't risk it. I can see not betting on the fight or betting on Noons but in no way can I see betting on Diaz. I'm a big fan of Diaz and I think he's a really good fighter but he has some things working against him. Noons is quicker and more athletic and that was very apparent in their first fight when Diaz tried to take him down and the time that Diaz did take him down. Noons used his quickness to get up.

Standing I don't even think is close. Noons worked Diaz over in the first fight and used his quickness and head movement to avoid almost all of the punches thrown by Diaz.

IMO Diaz has one chance at this fight and it's getting Noons down and sub'ing him. He has a chance at doing that but I say at best it's 50/50 and since I'm getting 90 back over the 50% then it makes this a very good bet. There was not one thing from the first fight that makes me think Diaz will win.

Perfect breakdown Lay. At these odds it is no play or Noons. Diaz knows he has to get it to the ground just like the first fight. Midway through the first round back in 07 Diaz got it there and passed to side control pretty easy but there was enough space for the scramble back to the feet. If Diaz gets it there again he can't afford to let him get up so easy.

i think the premise is wrong here...i`m not buyin` the "diaz HAS to get this to the ground" line....

the guy`s hands are very good in an mma setting....much better than the first fight...

if crazy horse can stupify noons, diaz can certainly hold his own....

noons is the one with limited options......that`s why he`s the dog the second time around...

and this is at 170....

i do think the line has gotten too high...but i didn`t think -170 was out of line...diaz is prime parlay material at -170...

just my opinion...
