Smith is one of my favorite MMA guys of all time, but I have no faith in him here. He's like the polar opposite of all these lay n pray wrestlers. he brings it every fight and isn't afraid to get hit. Always entertaining, but I think Cung Le has his way with him here.

from what i read,le had an agreement that the only way he would fight shamrock is if he agreed to a stand-up battle....

sound crazy?...well,shamrock would have had an enormous edge on the ground...and if memory sreves me,he never even tried to take le down...

le is a joke,imo....he fights sporadically and only against hand-picked opponents...and possibly with special rules...

don`t know about that spongy.....thiago silva came back pretty tough vs jardine after laying on the canvas unconscious for about a minute vs machida....

and if i`m not mistaken,jardine came back and beat liddell before he was considered shot after getting pole-axed by alexander.....

i do know that i took a whack with melendez this time around......i think he goes 2 for 2 in revenge matches....

thomson`s no joke...but i`m rolling with melendez..
