i was under the impression that a fighter who suffers an eye poke etc. has 5 minutes to recover.

that should also apply to a doctor's decision to stop the fight.

the doctor should not be able to stop a fight until after 5 minutes of recovery unless the injury is severe.

they're only strikeforce in name at this point. any criticism is directed at zuffa, they've replaced all the former strikeforce employees with zuffa guys.
