Kegray, if you take that loss away Overeem really hasn't lost to anyone outside of really GOOD fighters and in his first fight he beat the crap out of that guy. Also, it was pre horse days so it doesn't count because he's a whole different person now. LOL

The one thing I would worry about if I had Rogers is his stamina. He's only been to the 2nd round in I think 3 of his fights. We have no clue what he'll look like if the fight goes half way thru the 2nd.

Rogers may be good but IMO he hasn't proved it yet. He caught a glass jawed AA who probably wasn't giving Rogers any sort of respect. Outside of that he he hasn't beaten anyone worth a crap.

if rogers gets out of the first,he has a half a shot...overeem`s stamina is suspect,imo....

i remember him clowning chuck liddell in pride...beating the piss out of chuck...but chuck wouldn`t quit and overeem just folded....

the guy is 5-5 in fights that get out of the 1st round...

The shots Rogers gave to Fedor would have finished Overeem. Overeem has not fought a decent fighter since this loss to Kharitonov.
He was on the roids then, just not as much as now.
Steroids don't help your stamina or your chin.
It is just as likely Overeeem tires as does Rogers.

If Rogers can stay away from 2 things: A flying knee and takedowns then he WILL KO Overeem.
Those are two huge ifs which is why Overeem is favored.

Overeeem has always had a suspect chin against big punchers and that is a simple FACT.
Kharitonov, Shogun twice, Chuck,Nog.

Look at Overeems recent wins:
Fujita,James Thompson,Sylvester,Goodridge,Cro Cop, Mark Hunt,Hyun Lee,Buentello.

Rogers would have destroyed them all as well so what has Overeem done worth talking about?

Again I love Overeem but his chin is way to suspect for me at 3-1 odds.

Sounds like another avatar wager. :mj07:

Rogers actually looks pretty lean:

OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I believe that puts Overeem in at about 10 lbs less than his last few fights. I could be wrong, hopefully I am.

Any pics?

I went to the weigh-ins live and I made a few observations:

- Randleman looks VERY good and focused despite his recent health problems. Gracie looked smallish and kinda timid. With that said I can't bet Randleman because of his mental game though

-Britt seemed to have alot of confidence and wasn't the slightest bit intimidated. Looks to be a good bet as a dog

-Bigfoot looked ready to fight while Arlovski looked aloof and unfocused. Junior looks be a good bet as a dog

-Overeem and Brett had no discernable size difference. The both looked ready and focused. I'll probably leave this one alone.

I have been sitting and waiting on the odds to move on both Britt and Big Foot and can not wait any longer.
All DOG card for me:

Final straight wagers:

Brett Rogers for 100 wins 235.
Big Foot Silva(+160) for 100 wins 160
Antwain Britt(+150) for 50 wins 75

Might add a parlay or two tommorow.

I just don't think Randleman is worth a play even with those odds.

after watching fandleman vs whitehead with my own eyes ...and seeing that he lost to some bulgarian wrestler in his next fight,i couldn`t bet randleman with somebody else`s money.....even as a big dog...

maybe it was the health issue...i don`t know....i do know i didn`t like what i saw...and this isn`t anything new as far as i`m concerned...long periods of inactivity....

maybe gracie`s a stiff...maybe he`s another vinny margalhaes...he`d have to be to lose to this older version of randleman....

no play...

Lyle Beerbohm beat Vitor Ribeiro $2.30 (+130) *1 Joe Rogan

Antwain Britt beat Rafael ?Feijao? Cavalcante $2.30 (+130) *2 Joe Rogans

Joey Villasenor beat Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza $5.00 (+400) *1 Joe Rogan

Brett Rogers beat Steroids $3.15 (+215) *1 Joe Rogan

Parlay #1
----------------------------------
Roger Gracie
Andrei Arlovski

odds = $1.87 (-115) *2 Joe Rogans

Parlay #2
----------------------------------
Roger Gracie
Andrei Arlovski
Antwain Britt
Brett Rogers

odds = $12.99 (+1199) *half Joe Rogan

Love the odds on Britt, I think he gets it done.

Kevin Randleman has no cardio and well, he just isn't that good. Gracie should toy with him.

Arlovski will have too much speed for Silva, I just don't see how Silva will be able to catch Arlovski. Although Arlovski has a terrible chin so that is always a concern.

I know everybody will laugh at me for taking Joey Villasenor. Ronaldo ?Jacare? Souza is obviously the better fighter, but I just have some weird feeling a massive upset is in order on this card. I am not sure why Souza gets so much love? Let's be real here, in Souza's last three fights he lost to Mousasi, had a "NC" against Miller and beat an over the hill Lindland. Not exactly GSP stats. I know Villasenor is over-matched here, but I am taking the huge odds. Joey will be hungry, I just think Souza may be over-looking Villasenor.

Too many questions with Alistair Overeem. The steroids, the 100 years since he's fought in a cage, etc. etc. Overeem is one nasty striker, but guess what Rogers hits like Carwin. He has huge power. Ok maybe not as much power has Carwin, but Rogers can throw bombs. If Rogers can avoid the nasty Overeem knees he has a shot. Rogers doesn't exactly have the greatest of cardio. But guess what neither does Overeem. The longer the fight goes, the better for Rogers. The odds on Rogers are too good to pas up. And more importantly Alistair Overeem has fought a bunch of chumps in his last 4 mma fights. When you fight crap, and then you step up to fight a guy who is Top 15 that could cost you. Sure Overeem may win, but Rogers is clearly a "live dog".

I have always been a huge Randleman guy and I am not sure how many more times I can watch him get beat down.
I like the guy because he one of the nicer and funnier guys in MMA. Did you see him clapping for Roger Gracie when introduced then he kept trying to stand on his tippy toes to match Gracie's height at standoff. Gracie even thought it was funny.
Also notice the scars from the staph infection.
