Updated 2007 MJ record (total all plays): 21-11 (+11.33 gaming units)

regular plays: 19-9 (5.33 gaming units)

double plays: 4-0 (+8.0 gaming units)

2 team parleys: 0-2 (-2.0 gaming units)
-----------------------------------------

Went 5-1 Yesterday and 3-0 Friday on straight plays so I'm on a bit of a streak. Just missed a 5 teamer to win over a dime (eff K.C.).

Continued my undefeated streak on "Double Plays" which brought me up to 4-0 in that dept. Maybe I should make them all "double plays":mj07:

Back in a bit with today's plays.

Detroit -115

Detroit -115

Two pitchers going in opposite directions imo. Blue Jays also missing Glaus and Johnson.

From cbssportsline.com

Nate Robertson (2-0, 1.38 ERA) pitched well to defeat Toronto in his season debut, but was even better Tuesday in a 3-1 victory at Baltimore. He worked 7 1-3 scoreless innings, scattering four hits with one walk and five strikeouts.

Robertson is 3-1 with a 4.88 ERA in six career games, including five starts, against Toronto.

Blue Jays right-hander Josh Towers (0-1, 4.76) hopes for a better outcome when he makes his second start of the season. He struggled Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to Kansas City, allowing six runs - three earned - and 10 hits in 5 2-3 innings.

Towers is 1-10 with an 8.70 ERA in his last 13 starts overall, dating to last season. He, has, however fared well against the Tigers, going 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA in two career starts.

The Blue Jays will be without third baseman Troy Glaus for a third straight game as he continues to rest a tight hamstring and a bone spur in his left heal.

Glaus' injury leaves the Blue Jays without two regular starters. Left fielder Reed Johnson was put on the 15-day DL Friday with a herniated disc in his lower back.

Braves?

Braves?

Hudson, has dominated the Marlins (6-4), going 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA. He is 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA in seven career starts against Florida, with his team winning each of those games.

What do you think about ATL?

Adding St Louis (Double Play)

Adding St Louis (Double Play)

Looking for St. Louis to bounce back after yesterday's loss and pick up their 1st home win. There offense really needs to get going, and I think this is the spot. They have pretty much owned Ben Sheets. I think Puljos busts out big today.

from the net:

Pujols, though, has enjoyed plenty of success in his career against Brewers ace Ben Sheets (1-1, 3.60 ERA), batting .393 (22-for-56) with three homers versus the right-hander.

Sheets is 4-13 with a 4.04 ERA in 21 career starts against the Cardinals - the only team to which he's lost more than eight times. He also is 0-5 in six starts against St. Louis since the start of the 2005 season.

The Cardinals will look for a third straight quality outing from Braden Looper (1-1, 2.08), who pitched exclusively as a reliever in his first nine major league seasons before entering St. Louis' rotation this year.

The right-hander earned his first win as a starter on Monday, allowing only two hits, three walks and a hit batter over seven innings of a 3-0 victory at Pittsburgh. He threw 57 of his 94 pitches for strikes.

Looper has a 3.34 ERA in 26 relief appearances versus the Brewers.

Adding St. Louis Over 7.5

Adding St. Louis Over 7.5

Just going on my gut here. Check out my stats on this game listed above. St. Louis has to bust out one of these games and I think they do today, have good numbers against sheets (including Puljos).

Personally, I just think St. Louis will win. That being said I don't envision Looper being lights out. My conclusion is a 5-4 type game. With such a low number on the total I think I will take a shot on the total.

How many 2-1 and 3-2 games can a team be involved in?

adding braves -170

adding braves -170

Heavy juice, but alll numbers point to braves, who are coming off back to back losses at home. If someone can read this and not like the braves, more power to you.

Although last season was a struggle for Hudson, he still dominated the Marlins (6-4), going 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA. He is 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA in seven career starts against Florida, with his team winning each of those games.

Scott Olsen (2-0, 4.35) is 1-2 with a 9.88 ERA in three starts and four career appearances against the Braves. He went 1-2 in three starts against them last season and split two starts at Turner Field, giving up eight runs while striking out 12 in 10 2-3 innings.

Yanks are even money.....are they tired today or come out smokin?

Can't say I like the pitching match-up, but I tend to always like the yanks with those kind of prices. Their offense can be so explosive that as long as there pitching is decent they usually compete. But I'm a Yankee homer so take it for what its worth.
