10♦ INDIANA - Michigan State is going to be a huge disappointment this postseason, trust me when I tell you this. Tom Izzo?s bunch is historically dominating when its posting good numbers, but you can see that its 10-5 SU mark is coming by way of tough ventures, as it?s a bleak 4-11 ATS in league play. And right now, with as bad as this team has struggled - losing four of its last seven ? I don?t see the Spartans being able to cover, let alone win, against the Hoosiers.
Indiana has won seven of its last eight, including four in row after Tuesday?s 72-69 home win over Ohio State. And I?ll have to say, hats off to Indiana, which has posted consecutive three-point wins since former coach Kelvin Sampson was dismissed. This is obviously no longer a distraction, and this would make a statement by stealing this one on the road, where the Hoosiers are 8-2 this season.
10♦ LOUISVILLE - Villanova has laid dormant since Monday, and has to go into fiery Freedom Hall, where the Cardinals have won seven straight home games (all in conference), going 5-2 ATS. Too bad for Jay Wright and company, as the Cardinals are going to paste this team, continuing its Sunday streak versus the books (4-0 ATS) and a 24-6 ATS run in Big East play.
Villanova has been a huge disappointment, proving graduation has taken its toll, as the Wildcats are just 7-8 in the Big East (5-10 ATS). This does not bode well since the Cardinals are in triple-revenge mode in this series. Though Nova has won three straight over Louisville, the Cards have covered the last two. Plus, the Wildcats have lost six of their last eight on the highway ? losing five to the books - all in conference play. Villanova also comes into this one mired in ATS skids of 1-5 on Sunday, 2-10 following an ATS loss and 0-7 following a double-digit loss in Philly. Lay the chalk in this one.
