Andy, I'm gonna need your Uber codes and instructions on how to use them. I have the app loaded on my phone but have never used it.
Uber is very simple now that you downloaded the app ... click the the toolbar in the top left corner of your phone and hit Promotions ... enter 2qc6t and apply to get $20 off 1st ride ... make sure you also enter your debit/credit card or Paypal or ApplePay or GoogleWallet ... they take all forms of payment
Lyft you also download the app, and when it downloads and says Signup, use the Signup with Facebook as its quicker and puts a picture with your profile that shows up for the driver to find you easier, if dont have FB its just a small extra step of adding email address ... once the app loads up go to toolbar which is the little circle in top left corner, click that and then Payment ... enter your form of payment FIRST and then right below that you will see a little pink Lyft logo that says Enter Lyft Credit Code and tap and type ANDY 738911 ... it will give you the current city promo which is $50 here in Nashville but will be at least $20 in all cities
since Vegas will be crazy packed, here are a couple of PRO tips ... when you want to Request Ride do NOT hit the pin ... TYPE the location, ie, Caesars Palace or wherever you are ... you can also TEXT or CALL your driver which is VERY cool and helps all ... go to top right corner of app and click that toolbar ... then you can contact the driver and tell them you are "at the valet or front door" ,,, or "standing on corner in front of such and such" ... you can also tell them what you are wearing and ask what kind of car and color they are driving ... makes it SO much easier and seamless
if there are more than 4 needing rides at one time then you have other options ... on Uber you can request bigger rides along the bottom of the app when you are ready to Request ... on Lyft it is the Lyft Plus option ... they cost a little more but still cheaper and MUCH nicer rides than cabs
if ALL of you going have never used either app before, use these directions and codes and thats A LOT of FREE rides :0074 ... you can also give anyone my # with any questions in downloading or using :0008
HAVE FUN and wish I could join :0008
Yep, decided to fly.. But miss my car already.. Staying at The El... Right now at Gold Coast Casino looking for an old horse betting buddy, having spicy Bloody Mary..

Lyft says I get 5 free rides.
yep that is what is here ... think you may have made a mistake and got the Indy rate? everyone wait til your GPS resets to Vegas to download Lyft as the promotion is different in each city ... I HOPE that applies to Vegas for you :0074
also another small difference in the 2 apps is tipping ... both apps are cashless but the Lyft allows you to add a tip to end of ride ... Uber you have to actually give driver a tip
they are not expected but greatly appreciated ... I get like 1 tip in every 20 Uber rides but I get 1 in 3 on Lyft just because you can add it your ride and card
Yes, I got the Indy rate and neither are available in Columbus. I prob won't get shit.
But that's cool because I've heard it's a much better service than cabs and damn near half the price.

Jack,
Wouldn't you think that as long as you have not used the codes for any rides, you could still load the Vegas codes and use them?
dun
is Uber allowed to pick up passengers at airports ?
we have family coming in Hartsfield and I want to start using service.
also if wife and I use Uber to go out for drinks, Will the same driver pick us up 2 hrs later?
thanks
