Superbowl Party in Vegas

It's time to send deposits so that I know how many are committed.

The party WILL happen but I have to know how many are coming.

We're planning our own private party on Sunday, in our own convention room, with food, open bar, TV's all around, prizes, gifts and other surprises.

The estimate is $100 per person. If it winds up being less, you'll get a refund and it probably WILL be less. If it winds up being more, madjacks will pay the extra.

Please email me to get on the mailing list and for instructions on sending your deposit.

The deposit is non-refundable unless there isn't a party. But,THERE WILL BE A PARTY!

I'm expecting 75-100 people this year, so this is a party you don't want to miss!

A lot of people will be staying at The Aladdin, but you will have to make your own arrangements for room and air.

I can understand that some have put off making the commitment of sending a deposit since the NY tragedy. I sent my deposit a few days before it all happened. But I have not yet made our hotel reservations.

I need a firm date on the Superbowl itself before I make the hotel reservations.

Jack........ when will the date for the Superbowl be definite? I have heard that it may be pushed forward to the first week in February and that there is negotionation going on with the National Auto Dealers Association regarding the use of the dome in New Orleans.

I don't think you are going to get any commitments from anyone else until there is a certainty as to the date.

Looking forward to more definite info as soon as possible.

I'm going to be paying for the whole thing by the first week of November so I need the deposits so I know how many to have it set up for.

I am pretty flexible on which weekend the Superbowl is so long as I have several weeks notice to mark myself out of the office. I understand that most people don't have that kind of flexibility.

If the superbowl date is changed to Feb. 3rd then of course the party date will be changed as well. For those of us who need to make reservations in advance to get good deals on flights/rooms this is adding a bit of stress that none of us really needs.

It is amazing how far-flung the effects of the airliner highjacking/World Trade Center collapse is on the nation. All of us are being affected. This is also having an affect on your Superbowl party.

There is talk of moving the superbowl from to Feb 3 and from New Orleans to other cities, including Los Angeles, Tampa and Miami and NYC.

I don't know what to do and won't be able to make reservations until I know WHEN the game will be held. I am already committed to the party as you know.

Those who have been more seriously affected than we have may have to scrap plans to attend your event. I am looking forward to it but to some people this may have now become low priority or an impossibility.

Good luck to all and my condolences to everyone who has been directly affected by this whether through loss of loved ones or loss of employment.

Personaly Jack, i would like to stick with the 27th because i bought my plane tickets(non refundable...) and reserve the hotel before what happened. If it is really impossible for me to change my plane ticket without having to pay them again then i don't know what i'll do...

I am still flexible and would have no objection to keeping the date on the 27th altho you should consider changing the name to the uh....week before the superbowl party!

If it will inconvenience others who have already bought tickets that are non refundable then the original date is fine with me.

But have to decide real soon to lock in a decent rate on a hotel room. I dunno whether I will drive or fly.....depends on what I can get and how I feel.

I'm not afraid to fly just haven't decided yet but would prefer to fly.

I think the date of Superbowl will be decided tomorrow.

That's my problem too. Orginal date was going to be ok. If they back it up I may have a 30% chance of no show. Im working on that now because I would rather be there the week of the SB. Week before seems to loose some of reason for coming. It does sound like it will be moved back a week. And it sounds like there will be a answer on that by this Thursday or Friday. If not Jack Im sending my money Saturday. If things just don't work out for me. Well You may still use that for the party. It will be for agood cause. Hell of a lot better then most GD phone calls I get from everyone under the sun wanting 100 bucks for some BS. But please try to have on weekend of SB.
Sorry 1837 just seen your info on ticket problem. If you go early enough will they not let you change. This is tough because most everyone is going to want to be there SB Sunday. Im thinking if we do it week before many who were coming will change there minds.

Are there any plans for the host hotel to offer any kind of group rates? You had mentioned the Aladdin and I don't have a rating there. It would be nice if they at least offered group or casino rates. Can we even get reservations there at any rate?
