Other Possibles

For me these teams are all still available ... agree about saving the Steelers and Colts for later though.

All 45 remaining entries in mine made it through last week. I've proejcted my picks out through Week 17 and feel pretty good about them.

Week 10 - Pittsburgh or Carolina (lean to Carolina due to Batch factor)
Week 11 - San Diego at home vs. Buffalo
Week 12 - Oakland at home vs. Miami
Week 13 - Indy at home vs. Tenn
Week 14 - Cincinnati at home vs. Cleveland
Week 15 - Jax at home vs. SF
Week 16 - St. Louis at home vs. SF
Week 17 - Philly at home vs. Wash (also could use Pitt against Detroit if I go with Carolina this week)

Any fatal flaws y'all see there? Not crazy about Oakland but at home, they should be a decent pick.

I have now narrowed down my choices to either Chicago or Carolina.

If you take a look at the rest of the schedules for these 2 teams, this is the best week to take those 2 to win S/U. Technically, you can also take Chicago against Green Bay in Week 13 but I wouldn't touch that rivalry

I am staying away from Pittsburgh (saving for later and Charlie Batch), Jacksonville (serious Jekyll 'n Hyde team), and Atlanta (just not confident with Vick at QB)

I have already took the Colts and G-men so those 2 are out of the questions.

Detroit is an interesting choice but I don't know if I could pull the trigger on Joey Harrington

The more I think about it, I think Carolina is going to be my play. The way the Jets came back against SD kinda scares me but I just can't see Bollinger winning a game on the road.

Carolina scares me. They are another up and down team. Also, look at who they have played.....really no one. Jets could pull it off here. I don't think they will, but it wouldn't shock me if they did.

As far as the Steelers, I like them, but you never know with Batch in there. They really could lose to Cleveland if he has a bad game. I don't care how good their defense is.

I am taking the Bears myself. The 49ers are as bad as some college teams out there. They might not even score against the Bears.

Bears win 23-3.

Okay guys after consider the following games

Indy over Houston ... Detroit over Arizona ... Carolina over NJ Jets ... Atlanta over Green Bay ... Pittsburgh over Cleveland ... Philadelphia over Dallas

I've decided to go wtih the risky one and take the

Detroit Lions over the Arizona Cardinals

It's the ballsy play and it might come back to bite me in the arse but I cannot see me using them again this year and I do see myself using the rest of that bunch.

Good Luck!

Great call on Detroit. I made it through as well with Chicago. We finally lost some with Atlanta and NYG. Looking ahead to this week, San Diego looks to be my pick. Thoughts from others?

Here's my early survivor looks:

I like SD as well.
Early lean on St. Louis at home vs AZ
Early lean on Seatle at San Fran
Early lean on Denver at home vs jets
Early lean on GB (farve at home) vs minny(both coming off emotional road wins, I think farve has the edge)

Thus far, I like Denver and San Diego the most

I was thinking about St. Louis as well but they have just been so unpredictable. I'm pretty sure I'll go with SD. Week #12 is what really scares me as my two best options appear to be Minnesota at home vs. Cleveland and Oakland at home vs. Miami! I'm still holding onto Indy, Pitt and Cincy though so I feel pretty good. Good luck to everyone still alive!

Another week, another game fellas. Panthers took care of the Jets quite handily in Week 10 so On to Week 11

I'm looking at either San Diego or Denver this week. I would prefer to *save* New England for the Jets tilt later on.

Here are the teams that I can't use anymore

Week 1: Bengals

Week 2: Jets

Week 3: Rams

Week 4: Ravens

Week 5: Colts

Week 6: Chiefs

Week 7: Redskins

Week 8: Cowboys

Week 9: Giants

Week 10: Panthers

Thoughts and comments are always welcome and appreciated folks!

I am in your shoes. I am torn between Denver and SD. As I look through up coming weeks my thought is to take SD. Denver Hostess Baltimore in wk 14. SD schedule seems to be a little tight the rest of the way out in my opinion. I need to find some info on home SD handles coming off a bye week......

As said, San Diego looks like my play. 33 left in mine and I am one of only 2 that has not used Indy so I feel pretty good.

Canabiz - you saving the Steelers for Week 17 against Detroit like me?? God knows I'd like to get that far!

I had 2 picks going into this weekend. For some reason I thought I took CHI and CAR, but I must have been drunk when I sent in my sheet, because I took CHI and ATL.

We started with over 700, we are down to 90 after ATL and NYG took out about 50 people. Here is what I have used so far...
PITT
PHILLY
INDY
CINCY
DENVER
KC
WASH
CAR
NYG
CHI

I am leaning towards SD, so I can keep NE for the NYJ. That damn ATL pick killed me, I would be sitting pretty with 2 picks left

I am leaning towards KC. Normally I wouldn't play any team on the road, but I was considering doing so here. Iv've already used:
Tampa
Carolina
Cincy
Dallas
Jax
Washington
Seattle
Denver

Besides Houston being at home is there any thing else scaring people off KC? It looks like their best spot for the rest of the year.
