We'll see, you just don't know which UofA team is gonna show up. The one that should've beaten Fla and is the consensus #1 PAC-10 team or a team that is just to thin and not deep enough to play a full 40 w/ Texas. I follow UofA hoops too closely to not belive that what happened SAT vs SLU was just us taking them way too lightly, and a pretty poor all around team game. I highly doubt Lute was ready to see Frye triple teamed everytime we touched the ball.

Theres no bigger venue than MSG and there aren't too many teams that get more respect than Texas. The team NEEDS to be on tonite, my 2 keys for an Arizona W is Salim has to be hot and Frye CANNOT get in foul trouble. Assuming those 2 things happen UofA should come away w/ a WIN. :toast:

I'm impressed and a bit surprised at how ARIZONA is outhustling Texas on the boards! :D They're flying around like crazy. Wildcats goin' nuts in the 2H. ;) (of course it helps that they're hitting their outside shots) Unless Horns pull off a miracle in the last several minutes.....Right on 'Zona backers! :thumb:

If Texas is so much deeper and better, than why is Arizona kicking their asses up and down the court in the second half? Coming from a neutral source, Arizona is much better than Texas - this game was total domination.

As someone who took Texas fairly big, I gotta say, you couldn;t have been more right Nickel. Interesting that the UT homers are nowhere to be found. Maybe K-Mac is searching his couch for some extra cheese:D

Great stuff Arliss. . . you gotta like just how hard they play undermanned. Beat Texas to every lose ball, board, ect. . . they looked like the team with depth compared to the Horns.

I was a proud alumni tonight

Props to the UA team and everyone that backed them last night. They dominated the 2nd half, we came out flat and got worked by a better team.

Too many easy lay ups missed and I thought we shot it from the outside too much. Not enough inside game with JT. We couldn't rebound for shit either. Very frustrating game to watch. I know Barnes will turn this thing around though.

LMAO @ JEFF.....FOOL....

any hoot.....congrats to AZ....TX played like they were just going thru the motions..no INTENSITY at all which is what suprised me the most about this game. I wasn't suprised how AZ played as I know they are a good team. It was the LACK OF EMOTION that UT played without that was very very depressing. I tell you what tho, RICK BARNES better light a FIRE up these guys AZZ' bc they have a hellavu month comming up. Hope to see a better outing these next few games.

P.S.....thought that ADAMS kid brought his A game last night. Very confident young man I must say.

Sorry I'm late to the discussion but this was an EASY game to bet (okay I;m a UA alum but still)

Heading into last nights game:

Lute 7-0 vs texas last 7 years

Lute 10-0 at MSG at Zona

Lute 12-3 s/u, 11-4 ats last 15 as a dog.

Lute ALWAYS wins these pre-season made for TV games/tourneys

Lute is like 90% winning pctg in nov/dec

Lute hall of fame coach, Barnes...not even close

UA better prepared with nuetral matchup vs Fla and at StL (who played the way to play to usually beat UA score in the 60's, play zone, slow down the game) as opposed to texas 4 home gimmies.

Zona has 1-6 talent that can rival anybody in the ncaa.

We will struggle vs a few teams in the pac that will slow it down and our youth will show at times with TO's and we will struggle when the refs have a quick whistle (probably at some point in the tourney) but we have 5 guys who can take anyone off the dribble, penetrate and dish to open shooters. Play us that way and we can dump into Frye.

For me the money was easy and is in the account, too bad texas homers couldn't see to stay far away from this one. Another thing welcome back to the holiday bowl where you play almost every year, we're sick of seeing you out here, would you win an important game during the regular season and go to a different bowl game??????? :)

It's always funny to see the lurker fan show up after the game to say how EASY a play was but too much of a pussy to post his thoughts before the game even started. What a flake.

Sorry for invading your city again. Some teams actually get rewarded for their regular season accomplishments over the year, something your shit team knows nothing about.

funny too because the national powerhouse that UT claims to be somehow they ALWAYS end up in the holiday bowl instead of a new years game.

sorry i couldn't post prior to the ua-tex game but i was working, i will admit that the same stats applied vs fla (except for underdog stats) which i lost but doubled up on the texas game.

good luck vs Wazzu!
