On the course!
Jack,

I didn't know that was how specific you wanted to be.

It "sounds" like a good way to go, but you could very easily never win a bet doing that.

You are always going to have teams coming and going who are on the ass end of a bad streak it would seem, and not teams who should be bad all season.

You could probably toss a hat on the bottom 6-7 teams in the majors and do alright any given day with picking three of them, but it would seem that sticking with the same group would save you from getting "whipsawed".

Brewers cost me 2 times in the last week, that would have been winners with fading the Pirates

I know what you're saying but maybe a tweek here and there can make it better?

O's have dropped 14 of last 16, I heard that on the radio coming back from the store this morning. No idea on the M's and Brewers are 5-5 last 10.

M's are 2-8 in their last 10, and losers of 5 in a row. FWIW, I wouldn't take the M's out of the parlay. Not only are they a bad team, but there are reports that people in the clubhouse aren't happy (surprise, surprise). Hell, yesterday the ownership/GM called a press conference to give the manager a "vote of confidence." You know your season is shite when they feel the need to PUBLICLY defend the manager.

And to make matters worse, at some point in the not too distant future Lee will be dealt, and probably for minor league talent. That means they will somehow manage to get even worse than they are now. :scared

HOLY SHIT! :142smilie 3-run jack by Miggy Cab, so instead of losing the game the Tigers should cover the RL now. :scared

Damn Jack, I would start playing Powerball if I were you the way your luck is running these days. :00hour

The Bucs scored in the 9th? Wow. Didn't think that would happen. That sucks.

One thing I noticed today, and I don't know if you did as well, but the Bucs were 9-22 (now 9-23) on the road and the M's are 8-24 on the road. So yeah, fading these teams, especially on the road, not a bad idea at all. :142smilie

Jack,

If you really want to tweak this thing, how about this:

These four teams are the WORST by far on the road:

  • Bal 6-25
  • Sea 9-22
  • Pit 9-25
  • Az 9-22

Just wait until you have these teams on the road. If only two are playing, two teamer. If all four are out there.....I would shy away from all of them, but maybe grab the worst three?

Az, Sea, and Bal.......all start roadies tomorrow, BTW!

:0corn

(And stay away from that runline!)

Seattle is a HUGE dog tomorrow, but there's good reason for that. French was just called up from AAA recently and this will be his first start. On the other side, Wainwright (who I'd rather bet on than Carpenter) is going for St. Louis. This is a game that SHOULD be a blowout for the Cards, but who the hell knows when it comes to bases.

It's probably also good that Seattle is coming off a road win. The law of averages alone says they probably won't win again tomorrow. :142smilie

On the course!
Here's what I come up with today, based on the "new math":

1. Baseball - Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Boston Red Sox Money Line
I Kennedy -R Must Start
C Buchholz -R Must Start (-200)

2. Baseball - Tuesday, June 15, 2010
St Louis Cardinals Money Line
R Rowland-Smith -L Must Start
J Suppan -R Must Start (-160)

3. Baseball - Tuesday, June 15, 2010
San Francisco Giants Money Line
J Arrieta -R Must Start
J Martinez -R Must Start (-150)

1 to win 3.6
