Got a few today in 3rd rd but like this the best--and they usually are the loser

Appleby -111 over Poulter @ B&W

Last hole of Daly-Singh and Harrington sure was interesting yesterday as the cut line hinged on it with all at +4. If 2 of 3 bogied the +5's were in. Fortunately for this one the golf Gods were benevolent with Daly the only bogie allowing push with Maru and this little prop to get to the house :)

I am beginning to think that Olympic is insane!!

They are offering odds to win the Masters after 2 rounds of play and the field is +450.

only the two players atop the leaderboard are in the field! Now yea, I know, I would not think that Rose and Cejka will win this thing, but I am getting about 12 players here for +450, and that is a bargain no matter how you slice it.

I have 12 of 44 players within 10 shots of the lead. ANYONE can go out there and shoot a 65 today and get right in the thick of it. Not to mention I have the 2 leaders.....that is an insane betting option, and hopefully I can cash in!

Saturday Masters Play

Saturday Masters Play

Scott Verplank OV/Jerry Kelly -1.30

Have it for the Tourney, like it for Saturday.

Tease, That is good odds but have to believe someone other than the field will Win. Good luck.

DTB, 18 cost a lot of Players. One more bogey and all the 5 come in. In a Masters Pot with 30 Teams. 5 og 6 must make cut. 14 Teams are gone. Daly and Clarke's colaspe took them down. I'm the only one all 6, but Mick is my highest Player.

Ready to watch Moving Day.

Whether the opportunity is heaven sent or of his own making or none of the above, Phil Mickelson knows instinctively that the moment has arrived for putting his stamp on the 2004 Masters. And some notable others are poised if he isn't up to the task . . . And show the heart of a champion on Sunday. That, too. . . .That's the E-ticket his fans and believers are clutching now.

SATURDAY:

Mickelson(+350) over Woods/Els/Love/Olazabal/Howell for 1* @ Bet365

Casey(-120) over Poulter for 1* @ Bet365
- Posted straight away to get that one in. Will now be going back and looking to see what else is on offer.

SATURDAY:

Adding (for 1* each):

Couples(-110) over DiMarco (Tournament) @ Olympic
Olazabal(-120) over Choi @ Infinity
Couples(-120) over O'Meara @ Bet365
Love(+105) over Els (Tournament) @ Olympic
Haas(+275) over Woods @ Bet 365 (Ties Lose)

It's a rarity, but a pairing with Woods seems the perfect prescription for Haas to get his mind right after getting derailed over a ruling yesterday . . . If I had been around, I would have taken the Couples(9/1) to Show @ Olympic that I just heard about.

Hmmm Nice little +350 score on Mick yesterday LIA:)
Would be nice to see him finish this off and get everyone off his ass.

4th Rd
Estes +120 over Flesch @ Stan James (ties lose)

Don't like the ties lose but do like the odds considering Estes has made 6 straight cuts here and had an unbeivable only one final rd over par
--flip side Flesch has played 5 rds total here 74-76-76-67-77
---only drawback is I have note by Estes he does not like wet conditions per quote couple years back and his 1st rd last year and this year in wet conditions would confirm that.

--otherwise not a lot to my liking today as most have same matches. Will sit back and enjoy the day. Got a couple place wagers (Dimarco-Choi)sitting in top 4 so maybe get one home.

Back nine....

Back nine....

Weather forecast is dismal for Augusta today - Scattered T-Storms the entire day through 10:00 pm.

Therefore, assuming this holds true, the tournament - if played at all - will be halted and restarted several times for rain and lightning delays.

If that happens, I look for a veteran to emerge - and someone that can play in adverse, wet and muddy conditions. The wind does not look too bad only 8 or 9 MPH.

This scenario brings back the final round at Carnoustie when Ernie Els was able to deal with the severe conditions better than anyone else.

Whoever wins today, again assuming they get the round in - will have the most patience - something that Mickelson lacks, IMO.

Chris DiMarco is the "X" factor. He claims he is not long enough to play this course, but has managed so far. And Mike Weir won last year, not being known for his length.

Normally, I would say only those 8 players within 5 strokes would have any chance to contend by the back nine today.

But due to this weather - I am now going to include those within 7 strokes to be able to be in the mix...those players include:
Couples, Love, Haas, Price, Cink, Harrington, and Singh...not a bad list...

Some bogerys and double bogeys certainly will pop-up on the cards today, and if they happen to be on Mickelson's and Dimarco's cards, it will be a real shoot-out by the back 9.

Playing:

1. Els +450 - 2 units - to win outright...[L]

POSSBLE STRATEGY:

I have been toying with since seeing the odds and due to the weather possibly playing a big factor:

Play: 1 unit each on the above list...

1. Couples +10000
2. Love +6600
3. Haas +12500
4. Price +12500
5. Cink +12500
6. Harrington +5000
7. Singh +6600

There are not that many players in front of those on this list. There is a lot of talent and experience here. Assuming one of these can get on a roll and eventually win, worst case is Love or Harrington win at 40/1, and your return is $400 on a $10 wager, less 66.00 on the losers...Throw in Jacobsen at +5000 and Triplett at +4000, and you have a very nice "Field" to bet vs. the lead pack////Best case - Haas, Price, or Cink win...

If tourney is postponed until Monday, this may change my opinion totally...the extra day of rest would give some of the older players a chance to rest their weary legs and backs, on a very hilly course....

IP

RE-CAP - THE THUNDERSTORMS NEVER ARRIVED AT AGUSTA, BUT FOR AWHILE IT APPEARED THAT THE ABOVE FIELD WAS GOING TO CATCH THE LEADERS. SINGH WAS ON FIRE, BUT FELL BACK, COUPLES AND DAVIS EACH BIRDIED13,14, 1ND 15 TO GET INTO CONTENTION AND ELS CERTAINLY PLAYED LIKE THE CHAMPION HE IS...

YEAH FOR PHIL - THE MONKEY IS OFF HIS BACK - WATCH OUT FOR HIM IN THE US OPEN AT SHINNECOCK [I WILL BE THERE]. HE PLAYED THE COURSE VERY WELL LAST TIME AROUND WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE HOLE....

Sunday Masters Plays

Sunday Masters Plays

Just have simply been horrible with my Golf Plays this year. Looking at two losses, compounded it with yesterdays Plays. Still, can't take away from Masters Sunday, well it could be better. So here are my Plays.

Phil Mickelson OV/Chris DiMarco -1.85
Normally don't Play Phil but it could be his year. Hope he Wins so we can put that crap to bed.

Stewart Cink OV/Kyoung-Ju Choi -1.15
Stewart had a good day yesterday, thinks he carries over to today.

Jay Haas OV/Kirk Triplett -1.10
Played steady yesterday, damn 18th, Like Kirk's game but Jay has been good all year.

Does anybody know what the ruling was that fired Jay up? Never heard or read anything about it.

Happy Easter and Masters Sunday.

I thought love was
Only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else
But not for me
Love was out to get to me
That's the way it seems
Disappointment haunted
All my dreams

And then I saw her face
Now I'm a believer
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
I'm a believer
I couldn't leave her
If I tried

I thought love was
More or less a given thing
But the more I gave the less
I got, oh yeah
What's the use in trying
All you get is pain
When I wanted sunshine
I got rain

And then I saw her face
Now I'm a believer
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
I'm a believer
I couldn't leave her
If I tried

What's the use in trying
All you get is pain
When I wanted sunshine
I got rain

And then I saw her face
Now I'm a believer
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
I'm a believer
I couldn't leave her
If I tried

Then I saw her face
Now I'm a believer
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
Now I'm a believer
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm a believer
I'm a believer
I'm a believer

Outrights - Final update: 0-3; -4.50pts

Singh 6th
Harrington 13th
Goosen 13th

Close, but no cigar. They all finished some way out of the duel between Mickelson and Els, but Singh was only one shot short of a place playoff and the other two were just two further back. Still a very profitable as well as enjoyable Masters.

Matchups - Final update: 10-3-0; +17.24pts

Appleby/Daly WON by 2
Cabrera/Poulter LOST by 3
Langer/Campbell WON by 5
Cink/Flesch TIED (Lost)

Harrington/Campbell WON by 5
Verplank/Campbell WON by 8

Pretty poor show from all my outright selections.....never really had any run for my money, apart from a slim hope that the Goose would reach the places after being a couple under for his round early this afternoon.

Matchups continue to be profitable which mean I am in profit on this tour despite the poor outright selections over the last few weeks.

Outrights : 2-15 -24.50 Points

Matchups : 8-5 +4.41 Points

Great week on the matchups Stanley!! 10-3 is some effort...:thefinger

Well a piss poor year has really turned around the last few weeks. Thank you Phil for my biggest ever score. I'm so drained. What an ending. Now I would love to see him stick it to Tiger one day soon.

This week : +119.75u

YTD : +127.05u

Two Outright Plays for me [1/4 place odds 12345]

GARCIA:1.5 Units E/W @ 50-1 [Chandler]

VERPLANK:1 Unit E/W @ 66-1 [Chandler]

Sergio is hitting the ball well, but is low on confidence when trying to back it up.But there is no pressure on him this week,as most pundits dont fancy him because of the short game being off key.
But I think after threatning to hit form in at least one round all season,he will rise to the occasion on the big stage.
Verplank is so steady and has the ideal temperament, and after last years good finish wont be afraid of the course anymore.
Good Luck All:)
