In-Progress Outrights to Win the Whole Tournament after Round One, before Round Two

2.0 Units : Ben Curtis to Win @ 12 : 1.

Would have also taken Lee Westwood if he was one or two strokes closer at the odds I saw.

Looks like Miguel is already fading...

Anyways. Don't bet much on golf but love Luke in this match up:

000 Luke Donald (-115)
000 Nick Watney (-115)

Gonna take him for two units.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
And there will be at least one more to come, as this has always been my favourite, and one of my best events, for in-running selections before the weekend.
"You've got to win this one from the fairway, that's for sure." ~ Henrik Stenson (07.14.09)

Boo Weekley(66/1) e.w.
- - Yessir, that's the best I can dig up, injured wing and Open weather and all. The one I passed on last night was John Daly(150/1) (only 2 drivers on Thursday).

From Eric in Durham, N.C.: "Tom Watson is so old ... he played the Old Course when it was new."

From TNT broadcast on Tom Watson playing with 16 year old Matteo Manassero: "Tom Watson has socks older than that."

Maybe Poulter should go change out of that ridiculous outfit into a tee shirt that simply says, "I am a loser" on the front, and "I Choke" on the back. He can color it up however he sees fit.

Ogilvey plays three straight holes at 4 over...maybe Poulter can print 2 tee shirts.

I know it seems poulter is more concerned with his wardrobe and updating his twitter page than he is playing golf. Never again will I pick him.

Geoff Ogilvy posts an 8 and Ian Poulter can't even beat that with a 9.

Wardrobe, twitter...everything but his golf game.

Hard to explain after 2nd last year, followed since then with generally good performances.

Back to his best shot at a major and he blows up.:mj10:

Any of you know what Tiger's odds were to miss the cut pre-tourney?

I only saved the futures odds......

Fisher baby

Fisher baby

Really kicking myself for not making the big play I wanted on Ross Fisher +155 against Martin Kaymer. The line went from a toss up (both - 115) to Fisher + 155 based on the possibility Ross Fisher might leave if his wife was going to give birth to their first born.

I understand the jack in price but thought this much of one was worth a shot on such a quality player. And not that Martin Kaymer has had a bad tournament by any stretch. In fact, he still could win this match and tournament for that matter. However, Ross Fisher should only be +155 to Tiger under normal circumstances and no one else.

Knowing my luck, I couldn't pull the trigger as if I did, you know he's be out on the helicopter. Still may be faced with that decision but it would be tough to leave now.

Anyway, think Retief Goosen wins this thing. Wanted to play it last night but could only get 7:1 and thought it should be at least 10:1 prior to the start of round three. Would love to see Tom Watson hang the whole way. And certainly not understanding John Daly's success this week.

Wait a minute, did you say Ross Fisher should only be +155 to tiger and no one else? Just wanted to make sure i heard that correctly.

Please explain your reasoning, on that? Furyk was like +350 to tiger..

Fisher has a t39 and a mc in the open, he has 2 career wins in europe

No, I meant I wouldn't expect to find Ross Fisher +155 against anyone BUT Tiger Woods the way he has been playing. Not that I would expect + 155 to be the number. Of course it would be much higher, even for an 18 hole line. Maybe + 355 for a 72 hole line.

My point was I couldn't see Fisher + 155 against anyone else in the British Open except due to these circumstances regarding possibly dropping out to be with his new born.

Played several chump change wagers before and during the British Open. Below you'll see the selections I'm pleased about (of course I have a fair number of sure losers, too). We'll see what happens tomorrow...can't wait to watch it all unfold.

Anyway, I'm posting these so that (as long as they aren't against any of your own plays) I can get some extra rooting mojo from fellow MJ'ers. I'm feeling really good about Goggin as top Australasian (10 stroke advantage) and would love to see him win. Like Furyk's position, too, and would like to see a strong charge from him tomorrow. Additionally, Richard S. Johnson has a one stroke lead over H. Stenson for the top Swede. Here's to some luck on my side and yours for tomorrow. :toast:
