If the erosion problem is really bad you need to get some of the big landscaping ties from Home Depot or Lowes. The 8' by 6" ones, make a couple different tiers into that bank. Then plant some sort of vegetation/bushes that use a lot of water in those tiers.
Actually I can use the rest of the tree for the tiers. The Tree was 8" around at the base.
The posts are about 6" around.

At least six people, including two teenagers, were shot Monday night at a laundromat in Chicago, according to multiple reports.

That?s a terrible idea in my opinion. You are going to have a round tree/logs in the ground getting wet constantly from the run off and will eventually just wear down/rot. That?s not going to help the erosion problem in the long run. The landscaping ties are pre treated and are intended to be stacked like bricks two or three high, and then you join them with rebar. That will last.
Though I believe you previously said you want to only live there for a brief time and then move to west TX to hang out with Arrow. I guess the ?long run? isn?t what you are looking for. At least you will give the next owner of the land a future project for them to work on.
Hope your government contract work that you win with low bids is a little more thought out.

We will be here for a long time. I love it here. So peaceful. Car goes by every 45 min or so and I can hardly see them from my front porch. A small wren has made a nest in one of the hanging plants on the porch. It flys in and out while we are sitting there. I wouldnt hurt a bird, but I would have to consider crushing whinerguy.
