1837 Make it 3 for 3. I concur with Ian and Stan 100%
=============================================
I think if Oly hold their current win lines they there will be some value in place only wagers with Calc-Sutton-Price @ 28/1-28/1 and 32/1 respectively. If just 1 finished in top 4 it would return 2.33 to 1

2ball & 3ball parlay 1/2 unit each

2ball @ Surrey
Price over Els-Sluman over Hoch-Bjorn over Harrington-Verplank over Cink.
Have no clue on payout. They don't display as far as I can tell on exotics till after the fact?

3ball @ Sportingbet
C Perry-Couples-Price-Sluman $10 returns $255
Note: 1st 3 should be done by time Sluman match goes off at 1:10 IF 1st 3 cover and no push involved will play 2 units each on Clark and Henninger,Sluman's opponents.

Because of the notoriety of the 17th hole at Sawgrass, there will be a number of props available relating to that hole. Here are some stats that might be useful in assessing them:

Scoring
Code:
<h5>Year	Eagles	Birdies	Pars	Bogeys	Doubles	Other
2000	1	63	269	51	42	20
1999	1	70	289	46	29	10
</h5>
In the water
Code:
<h5>Year	Round 1	Round 2	Round 3	Round 4	Total
2000	41	24	11	11	87
</h5>
The record number of tee-shots in the water occurred in 1984: 98 times

Holes in one

There have been just five since the event came to Sawgrass: Brad Fabel (1986); Brian Claar (1991); Fred Couples (1997), Joey Sindelar (1999) and Paul Azinger (2000). Though Fred Couples did have another hole-in-one in 1999, but that was withhis 2nd ball, the 1st one having got wet!

Hope this helps

Actually going for a 1st round 3 ball bet
Ozaki has played the 1st round here under par for the last 5 years which is no mean achievement - he is up against 2 players who have never played here before who can only do one thing - hit it long (which will not be of much use here), I expected to get 11/8 or 6/4 so the 7/4 at Betsmart is very generous

adding to show only @ Oly 1/2 unit each
Calc 7/1
Sutton 7/1
Price 8/1
Verplank 10/1

Thats quite a few but having to not place win bet also and no tie saturation makes it a go IMHO.If one hits return is 1.7 at a minimum.

Help! Some more match-ups for the experts to offer advice on. Geez, it'd be so much easier for me if the rest of the world could say $1.45 v $2.70
biggrin.gif

Sutton -130 over Hoch even
Perry -120 over Sluman -110
Appleby +110 over Cink -140
Toms +105 over Lickliter -135

PS - hope the rest of u have checked out 1837's form on the Formula One track. This man is en fuego

AV2,
Not that I want to play these, but how does this work? Is it that you get 26-1 if Tiger wins by more than 4 strokes? And is everyone else ( with their "handicap"/strokes ) compared to JUST Tiger, or the winner of the tourney? So if Davis is within 3 of the eventual winner you get 26-1 having bet on him?

Buckeye, the 'handicap event' is just for those 40 players cited - you simply take off the handicap for each player at the end of 72-holes and see who has the lowest net score. Like AV2 said, bit of an evil curly one and these markets are best left alone!

Anders, the only one I like of those four is Sutton over Hoch who did finish 8th last week but had previously missed every cut this year! He has a decent record here, but his game looks too fragile at the moment for me.

Would lean to Perry over Sluman and Cink over Appleby, but the odds would have to be better and would not touch the Toms-Lickliter play over 72-holes even though I am playing Lickliter for the first 18!

sorry fellas
posting late here from ireland
but was doing some looking at the stats
after winning my money on couples playing bad at bay hill this week im going big and am going to sell ELS at 16(sportsspread.com)
on the internationals 50 index cant c him doing well .first of all his putting is so much worse than other years very poor scoring this year also has a new caddie on the bag this week.boys believe me ernie is not a happy man
second pick would be to sell duval at 8
picking up money again
ill tell u why
cause the wet heavy rough is going to play havoc with his sore wrist , he cant beat the other seven guys in this group
pick number 3 is olazabal to sell at 5
his driving is way to poor to do anything here
plus some guys here in this group are hot
take at look at this site (sportsspread.com)
cause we'er going to get the beeter of them
dont forget ive got a 100% record
well ok i only started last week with one post
this week im sticking my neck out with 3
best of luck lads

Been watching you guys - you're more help to me than I can be to you.

We have a Pick 7 Golfers On-Your-Team Pot (can't pick Tiger) - would have won it last week ($600) til CPerry triple bogeys 18. Tied for 3rd= $90.

Also, local sports investment banker is putting out matchups.

Thought I'd post for the fun of it:

My 7 this week:
Calcavec
Love
CPerry
Price
Sluman
Sutton
Verplank

Matchups with local: 72 holes

Love -120 over Els
Sutton -110 over Furyk
Sluman -115 over Faxon
Price -110 over Parny

Good Luck to Everybody - Great 'chatting' with all, especially Stan and DTB

Your selections look like a very consensus of this week's posts, so especially good with them
biggrin.gif

Thanks for the analysis danoli. And again, I don't think anyone has posted anything that would contradict your plays, so let's hope you keep that 100% record
biggrin.gif

Have you entered the golf contest? It is based on the same principles as spread betting but without the spread.

Simon Bold have gone overboard on offering groups for this week's tournaments, so for the 1st time, here is a group play:

Chris Perry to win Group E (Weir, Appleby, Azinger, Perry, Campbell) 7/2 @ Simon Bold [2 units]
Perry faces four of the least accurate drivers in this week's field in this group and with the rough being wet, it is very thick so keeping it in play will be important. Only Weir can compete with Perry for current form, but he has played here once and missed the cut.
