b bonds is a GOOD ballplayer....probably a better fielder than hitter. couple of points
1.Gold gloves were not given till 1957.......
"Babe" won 0.....his lifetime F.Avg- .968
B Bonds...............................985
2. MVP awards...didnt start till 1931.....for most of his career the "Babe" had no MVP to win. In 1927 when he hit 60, he did lose the "LEAGUE" award to "Gherig" who hit .373 with 47 dingers and 175 rbi.
Frankly...what the "Babe did in baseball far exceeds what Barry has accomplished and the stats show it. "Babe" wasnt best in everything...Did Barry match Ricky H in base stealing???????
Any way this is my last word on this. The "Babe DID win...MLB-All century team, MLB-HOF-chaarter member, Associated Press-Athlete of the century,Sporting News -greatest of all time! Tough to try to compare Barry Bonds to the "Babe"
