I am curious about your dislike of SC? Is it related to the media, Scott for SC, or something from the past and SC.?
............................................................

I know I am pretty much just trying to upset S4usc

Its Scott4SC over the years making USC sound like
the next coming every year.

His ridiculous bets, arguing over and over how USC is not quite that good yet, but wait until end of year, or 2nd half of games, etc.

Texas game is printed into my memory banks and I will always remember Vince Young for taking them down and making USC look like pop warner team.

The only thing that would make me dislike USC more is if Mike Vick played for them.

hope that helps

I would be willing to bet you wet your pants when Arkansas beat Auburn.

I did; I had pretty penny on Auburn...:142smilie

my 2 cents is I would be surprised if SC can get through this season unblemished...I think we are headed for a HUGE end of the season argument because we'll have an undefeated #1 along with an undefeated WV...and multiple one loss teams...I'm telling you now, we are all going to get screwed in not seeing a true NC title game...BCS is going to fawk it up....

But to say that these freshman arethe same type of impressive that OSU, Texas, Fla, Tenn, WV, Mich are is a big stretch for me- I think that is where we disagree.

According to Sagarin, USC has the #2 rated strength of schedule. 5-0! All 5 teams BCS schools!

Ohio St. is the only team in the country who has 3 wins against top 30 teams. Impressive. USC is the only team in the country to have 4 wins against top 30 teams! MORE IMPRESSIVE! Everyone else has 2 or less.

How many teams in the country have 3 road wins against BCS schools? USC does.

USC has beaten one of the top teams in Big 12, and one of the top teams in the SEC on the road.. How many teams in the country have wins against 2 teams who are tied for 1st in a BCS conference? USC has!

Who has the biggest target on their back in the country? USC!

Who has the most impressive resume outside of Ohio St.? USC does!

Scott, I could be taking this wrong but please tell me your not trying to make a case for why USC should be #1...I would say the consensus #1 team has a bigger target on their back then USC...its a new season with a new #1...OSU is where they belong for now....

your could argue #2 but #1 is out of the question...

OSU has a more impressive win than any of SC wins this season...

#1 OSU 24 @
#2 Texas 7

Soundly beating the #2 team on the road @ night...SC won't see a game of that magnitude until their bowl...

They are no where close to being more impressive...

I have OSU ranked #1 in my top 10.

2nd, I said outside of OSU, who has the best resume? USC does!

USC beating 4 teams ranked in the top 30 IS MORE IMPRESSIVE than Ohio St. beating 3 teams ranked in the top 30. Sorry. 4 is higher than 3. ;) What is impressive is nobody else in the country has more than 2 wins against top 30 teams. OSU and USC are alone at the top.

I have OSU #1 because they won @Texas and won @Iowa. Road wins are tough and OSU has got them against quality teams.

I think USC has bigger target on their back than OSU despite OSU being ranked #1.

USC has 50-2 record, and the last Pac 10 team to beat USC was CAL in 2003. Since 2002, USC has lost 2 pac 10 games, WSU in 2002 and CAL 2003. Both OT games on road. USC lost their NFL talent and teams in the Pac 10 think the time is ripe to upset the #1 program in the country the last 5 years. These teams want revenge for all the embarrassing beat downs USC has given everyone. Since 2002, USC has been beating teams consistently by 20+ pts. USC has the biggest target on their back week in week out! USC is the only team out west that gets major respect and beating USC will give any west coast team instant accolades.

Hey scooter lets here some stats from 1999, 2000, and 2001. Lets not act like USC has consistently been world beaters. I recall a recent Chirstmas EVe loss to Utah with the great Carson Palmer at QB. USC has been the top program for the past 4 years and won 1 Nat'l Championship.

I just wanted to make sure we're clear on the #1 aspect...4 is greater than 5 your right in that aspect but not more impressive than beating the #2 team on the road...I don't care how many lower end of the top 30 teams are beaten...Maybe a bigger target in Pac-10 country but the whole thing of being #1 is being the biggest target in the country for any team...beating a #1 team is a bigger target for any and/or every team SC has played or will play...remember #1 is higher than #2:brows: ...well in SC's case that would #3...any Pac-10 team other than SC that beats a top five team should receive allocate because it hardly happens...don't get me wrong the revenge factor is huge for teams playing SC but saying they have a bigger target than the #1 team in the country is ridiculous...

when the Wizard was in Pauley they won 10 crowns in 12 years and I think people had them in crosshairs each night, but they only won 38 straight NCAA Tourney games

I said USC is the #1 program the last 5 years. Nobody really comes close. If you disagree, let me hear your argument!

I think teams look forward more and prepare harder for USC than OSU. Just my opinion. No factual evidience to support my claim but I did give my reasons. I think USC has bigger target on their back. Not saying OSU doesn't.

Like I said, OSU is #1 in my rankings. USC has pretty good resume as well. Maybe if USC was winning by double digits, they could have an argument to take over #1 from OSU. Right now, OSU is clearly #1 and I want an OSU/USC BCS NC. I think most of the country does too. Although it should be played in the ROSE BOWL.

It didnt hurt that he had bought most of his players, and had to play 2 games, usually in LA, against New Mexico State, Weber State or Long Beah to get to the Final Four.
