geez weepaul can you say something I agree with, I want some of that 6 million bankroll you got:mj07: I mean we usually agree on stuff, I am starting to get a complex:142smilie

I will ban myself 9 minutes for off topic, but Josh ain't anywhere near as good as most people think. To have him in top 5 of any poll is laughable. But hey I'd love to see him beat Fedor.

Now to get back on topic.....

GSP is the man:00hour

and Brock is an asshole

Barnett is no joke and in my opinion, he has a better chance of beating Fedor than Brock does.

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement. IMO Barnett would get smashed by Brock. I can't see anyway Barnett beats Fedor but I can see Brock beating him. Even tough I can't stand Brock, he is a a freak of nature. Just think of how green he is to MMA and he's already looking like he's the best. (I'll still never like him, I don't like wrestling and I don't think MMA needs that kind of press)

Some of u guys buy into this hype every time with fighters. Lets see how Brock does against someone who can wrestle. Heck a guy who can wrestle and was 50 pounds lighter neutralize him and i truly believe Coltures game plan was to take him down to knock some of the confidence out of Brock but it didn't work because of Brocks size. If u watch that fight again Randy came very close to taking him down on a few occasions. Brock isnt just gonna walk thru Cain or Carwin. The hyping is getting at ridiculous levels now. It is almost as bad as the Alves hype job most got sucked into. Mir can't wrestle and neither could the cowboy. Both a lot smaller. the hype is getting so bad im thinking of calling Dana and asking him if Brock could fight two guys at once.

i think he said something bad about GSP once.
Come on Sponge, now you are crossing the line!!! I would never say anything bad about one of the gangs wifes or in Kick's case, Bromance :mj07: :142smilie :mj07: :142smilie

Just kidding Kick :toast:

We seem to agree on everything apart from Fedor.

I agree with Sponge 100%. Brock is being made into something he is not. The much smaller Randy would have taken the big dummy down, if he had not grabbed the fence.
I bet he is not as good from his back.

Lets see how he reacts to being hit on the chin properly for the first time. I have seen a lot of muscle bound freaks get shockingly KO'd because their big muscles don't equate to taking a good punch.

First, I missed the Hendo knockout and just found a link and watched it on replay. Holy shit, not sure the second punch was needed or warranted, but given Bispeng's mouth it was coming.

Second, regarding Lesnar, I think we are going to see an outcry soon for another weight division, like say 235 or so, and then anything above. Split heavyweights, right now even though Sponge thinks Cain and Carwin can hold their own wrestling him I don't. Randy's a different breed and master gameplanner and would find a way to be in the match with anyone. Lesnar is just too big. Think about it, it would be like GSP fighting Rampage in terms of weight differential. It is what it is, but until someone comes along with similar strength/size I just can't see anyone beating him, and yes I realize he's only fought 5 times. By the time he fights Fedor or if he probably will have another 3-4 fights in, and that experience will be pivotal.

Agree with Sponge and weepaul........Brock is getting way too much hype. I mean he's good and all, but has a long long way to go to justify the hype. And yes there are guys in UFC that can take Brock. And let us not forget Brock is 1-1 against Mir, beat a horrible Herring and beat Randy who he was losing against and outweighed by 900 pounds. Brock is good, but he has got a long way to go....a long way.

And I'd be all over Carwin or Dos Santos if they fought Brock, yep Dos Santos that's right, Dos Santos. You read that right, Dos Santos. Remember what I just typed, Dos Santos.

As for Fedor well I won't go there, we all know how I feel about him and his competition.

Yes weepaul, I know you'd never ever attack GSP....my mom, that's cool, but GSP....never ever disparage the best MMA fighter on the planer...never.

Jr im just saying lets see brock in there with someone that has at least a lick of wrestling skills. All this talk about Brock being this fantastic wrestler then why didn't he go out for the olympics? Kurt Angle is an olympic wrestler and it has been stated that he got the best of Brock every time they shoot in the WWE. Now this is a Brock all Juiced up and well over 300 lbs. Randy wasn't getting pushed around by Brock in that fight at 44 years old. i need to see more before i annoit him the king. And he wouldnt just walk thru Barnett like some of these guys think. Barnett isnt 5 ft ten. Barnett is very well rounded. Brock hasn't seen anything like Barnett just yet.

watched the GSP fight again and the speed of those takedowns leads me to beleive he has a legitimate shot at beating A Silva. Fortunately its Hendo's time again and the bandwagon is getting to full for my liking.

Well I just watched the Coleman vs Bonnar fight.

WHO IS TRAINING MARK COLEMAN THESE DAYS? CLAY GUIDA??

1st round Bonnar, though Coleman got the easy takedown, Bonnar from the bottom did more damage and was more active. Coleman in true Guida fashion just laid on top for entire round repositioning and rarely throwing a weak punch.

2nd round was only different in that this time Coleman was able to cut open Bonnar after the takedown and Coleman did work in the 2nd round and clearly won it. I think the blood seemed to bother Bonnar during the round.

3rd round Coleman pulled a MAJOR GUIDA. Wait, wait, wait,TAKEDOWN. I have my takedown now I can smother him and hold and make sure he can't throw anything and hopefully the clock will run out. Rogan even said "If Coleman can hold on for these last 2:00 minutes then he is going to win this fight." I think he literally meant hold on.
And that is what Coleman did.
Like ground Guida, Coleman didn't come to fight, he came to do what was needed to get a win.
I HATE FIGHTERS LIKE THAT.

Wow, just watched the jones fight. That kid has some kind of future in the sport. He's so freaking long, I think his wingspan is 7'. I would have thought that a good wrestler might give him some problems but that wasn't the case. Now all we need to see is if he has a chin, if he does you can chalk him up as one of the better lhws for a while. He's only 21 so he has a long time to mature.

Rumors that Jon Jones could be the opponent for Rich Franklin in Dallas at UFC 103.
That would be interesting fight.

Hmm, I think Rich may have too much for the young one right now. Saying that, it wouldn't suprise me at all if Jones won that fight.

How did you guys like the Jon Jones move where he fakes a take down attempt and comes up with a spinning elbow? That was the most creative move I've seen in awhile.
