so annoying.....why not stay on the weigh in ?

indeed.

it's been said before, but marquardt is enormous. it's strange how he can look so huge at 185.

and nogueira looked lean. not concerned with my bet, but i don't know if i want to double it.

I'm contemplating to take Couture today.
IMO the most likely result is Couture by decision (+215 at betonfighting), thats value IMO, my MMA record isnt great though .

weepaul.......

guess I am on crack:scared

Not good, I hear it is addictive:eek:

Vera is going to loooooooose........underdog Krzysztof Soszynski will finish Vera:)
OH You are on CRACK Brother!! :moon: :moon: :moon:

I'm sorry you are going to lose on the Polish Turd tonight. I hope your other bets come through :toast:

My bets are-

Vera -170 Easy Money!!

Aurelio to beat Dunham -140. This is a HUGE step up for Dunham. Aurelio usually only loses to the very best in close fights.

Vera/Gonzaga/Simpson Parlay pay's +320.

Huck/Nog Parlay pay's +300. Huck should win boxing in Germany and I really like the weight that Nog has come in at.

Good luck boys!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Looks like im sitting this one out. I like Nate but i think the price now is a bit to high. Not like the fight is a slam dunk.

Ohio but not a Buckeye
Noguiera +180...Value, rather lose with the odds cuz i think this fight is a coin flip...
Thiago Silva +138...Thiago just better fighter IMO
Damian Maia +160 - Just value here, he is Gracie esq dominate on the ground...if you watch the old UFC fights, he looks that dominate on the ground..
Vera -205 - I like Krzysztof Soszynski but he's just out of his league right now...and Vera is the real deal...he's taking the game serious now..
Herman -105 - I like another dominating performance as long as he doesn't fight stupid...

good luck boys

i can`t bet vera(even though he SHOULD be to complete a fighter for tbe pole)until he proves he can look half as good at 205 as he did at heavy....

this guy looks like he must struggle his ass off making 205...he had no...nada..muscle tone last time out...he looked like a cpa,not an mma fighter...

GW, my thoughts exactly. I really thought Vera would be really good at 205 but I don't think so anymore. I think he's a middle of the pack kind of guy. Good but not great.

Not playing alot today as I already had a few in early:
Straight plays (from early posted odds):

Randy Couture(-120) over Nog 120 wins 100.
Thiago Silva(+160) over Jardine for 100 wins 160.

Added today following:
PARLAY
Couture
Marquardt
Leben
Gonzaga
100 wins 400.75

I am really not to worried about Randy or Gonzaga. Nate is gonna be close but I think people under estimate Leben's all around skills and not sure what Jake will be able to really do to him.

Also added:
Futures Parlay:
Couture(102)
Gonzaga(102)
Dos Santos(103) over Cro Cop
100 wins 245

Kegray, I to think Leben is well rounded as well but Jake's wrestling is out of this world. I think he learned from his last fight that he needs to rely on it. I don't see him trying to stand with Leben, he wouldn't be able to ko him and Leben has some heavy hands so there's a chance he could get ko'd. I think he shoots and either GnPs or LnPs the whole time. He's not an average wrestler, he's one of the best so the answer to your question is that I think he'll be able to take Leben down at will.

Getting taken down at will was shown in the Josh Neer/Pellegrino fight. No way i would put a penny on Leben if he can't stop a takedown. Not a fan of Lebens at all. I haven't seen him have to stop a take down since i have been watching him. Today he is gonna have to.
I got to believe that the Nate/Maia fight starts to plummet in odds. Everywhere i go i see people on Maia. Only place i see anyone on Nate are a few in here. I also like Jardines experience to carry him tonight. Not a fan of Tiago's either.

I love amatuer wrestling chat.

Rosholt was godly on the mat in college. A small comparison to Koscheck... frmr Leben opponent

Rosholt won the 184-pound NCAA Division I wrestling title in 2003 and the 197-pound title in 2005 and 2006. Rosholt, at Oklahoma State , is a 4-time All-American and 2004 Big 12 Conference champion. He placed second at the 2005 and 2006 Big 12 Conference but went on to win NCAA championships both years, making him the 15th three-time NCAA Champion in Oklahoma State history and just their 10th four-time All-American.

Josh Koscheck went to Edinboro. In 2001, during his Junior season, Koscheck won all 42 of his wrestling matches, and went on to become the NCAA Division I Champion in the 174 lb weight class. Kos was a four-time NCAA Division I All-American (placing 4th, 2nd, 1st, and 3rd respectively)

Johny Hendricks was also godly at OKST..

Hendricks won the 2005 and 2006 NCAA Division I wrestling title at 165-pounds, and he finished second in 2007after falling to Mark Perry from the University of Iowa. The loss to Perry was Hendricks' only one suffered during his senior year at OSU, during which he had compiled a 56-0 record coming into the bout

In addition to his two national championships, Hendricks was a 4-time All-American at OSU and a three-time Big 12 Conference champion (2005, 2006 & 2007)During his high school wrestling career at Edmond Memorial High School, Hendricks won three Oklahoma state titles and the 160-pound high school national championship.
