pyle vs ellenberger?...i see guys on other boards with the opinion that pyle is a pile.......but,pyle has wins over hornbuckle and fitch(albeit in 2002/2003)......16 subs...he`s not a joke.....too tough for me....
i have been a big kampmann fan...like what apparently is a decent size advantage....his problem is fight i.q. and the fact that he`s a horribly slow starter...this guy,for a very, very good, well rounded fighter naver seems to have a gameplan....he usually loses the first round, and if that doesn`t end in catastrophe, seems to adjust well on the fly.....
it`s ashamed such a a talent can`t hit the ground running in fights..if not getting stopped early,he`s inevitably digging himself out of 1st round holes in his big fights....
i have him as the kicker in a par started from the dream card...i hope he doesn`t wet the bed...
also have dos santos as a kicker, and that is a crapshoot....i was expecting a 2-3" height advantage per fight finder...apparently,based on the weigh-in video, that isn`t the case...he caught werdum cold...ufc neophyte struve and an extremely faded crocop....imo,yvel is a much more dangerous opponent that this older crocop...
we`ll learn alot about dos santos tonight...other than the werdum surprise, this is his toughest fight in the ufc and if he loses focus,he`ll get put to sleep...i`m banking that doesn`t happen...
put a little on hazelett at -110....another crapshoot...if he means what he said(he may stand with daley because he`s been working on his muay thai)he won`t get out of the first round......but i don`t believe he`s delusional.....i wish there was a way to handicap a fighter`s mindset...cause i find it hard to believe that after watching the kampmann fight that "mclovin" wouldn`t immediately try and get this to the ground...
what worries me is the fact that daley is a physically strong guy...hazelett,not so much....he may have trouble getting daley down...and if that`s the case,it`s over...
also have a small 3 way par with jim miller/munoz and joe lauzon....worried about lauzon...afraid that stout might out=physical him...
i lean rashad based on his quicks....but i wouldn`t bet money on it...silva has made me some jack of late...he`s extremely dangerous.....he seems so focused...he loves fighting..you could see it at the weigh-in...honestly,if i were rashad,i`d be on my bike and pick my spots on my feet...and try very hard to get this to the ground...they say silva is a black belt...well,he`d have to show me that...i`d take my chances with rashad`s superior wrestling...silva hasn`t been on his back very often in the ufc...and when he was(machida),it was a bad outcome for him....
if the odds go up and i can get 2-1 with silva,i might bite...
g.l. everyone...
