GW, those 5 losses are against different level fighters than Bisping.

I totally agree with you on fighters and I was one of the ones debating with Bucs that Wandy had lost some of his ability to take a punch but this is a a fight where I don't worry about it.

The only thing I've looked at going into this fight is his last one vs Rich. If you take away one of Rich's takedowns that fight might have gone the other way. IMO Bisping is not even close to the same class as Rich. Bisping's size won't have any bearing on this fight(IMO). In all reality Bisping will be one of the smaller guys Wandy has been in the cage or ring against.

GW, I'm nervous as hell bud. I'm taking two guys from Pride that I've argued are washed up in the past. LOL and talked about a third one(crocop) I could be wrong but styles make fights and the one thing I know about both of my bets is that I'll have a shot to win until the very end, no matter how it's going up until that point.

frankly,i don`t consider franklin an elite fighter...he`s never beaten one...he seems to manage to avoid guys like marquardt and maia...

i might be wrong...but,this sure sounds like the same noise i heard pre bisping/kang....everybody loved kang..can`t miss.....

now kang`s a bum....go figure...

forget the henderson k.o....."this" silva isn`t henderson...

bisping is a solid fighter...we can agree to disagree...

that`s why they call it gambling....and remember,i picked bonnar over coleman...

I'm glad someone brought up "toss up" fights because that is such a great point. With the UFC, we will always see big name fighters and we will always see them square off. What is great about this card is that there isn't a title fight, there isn't a clash of big names, it is just great match ups. Shit, even Sponge is pumped up for it, and he hates everything. I will definitely be shelling out the cashola for this one.

LOL, look at the adjustment for the Machida Shogun fight. That's exactly where I thought it should be the first time.

might take a shot at this Foster kid over Lytle. Kid is a tough kid and completely dominated Brock Larson. Had another fight with the Horror story that went back and forth. Lytle is tough but he does lose.

I am not sold on Rothwell but I sure as hell would not wager a dime on Cro Crop to win any fight these days.
He doesn't seem driven at all and it appears his skills are so long gone it is not even funny.

As for Ben, I thought he did what he could against Cain and took some shots from Arlovski, but only 3 fights in 2.5 years is cause for concern.
If Cro Crop can't get a big leg kick then I think Ben just out works Mirko and wins it.

Jardine on Bader:
""We?ll see where this fight is going to go. I think Ryan Bader's going to try to stand with me honestly," added the 34-year-old. "He might force it to the ground, and if he?s really after those takedowns it?s going to end up on the ground eventually because he?s a two-time All-American. He?s a great wrestler. Maybe we?re going to see some of my grappling. It?s been a while since I?ve been underneath anybody for a good amount of time."

"I?ve been watching his boxing a lot in a couple of fights. He doesn?t bring a lot to the table boxing. He?s not very fancy, but what he does, he does extremely well," critiqued Jardine. "He has an extremely fast, hard overhand, harder than I think anybody in the UFC maybe. That?s pretty much his deal. If he touches you with that it?s going to hurt. That?s his deal, so I?ve been looking at that a little bit."

I think Jardine is going to be on his back all night. I like Bader here. Maybe I am under-rating The Dean of Mean, but I'm gonna go with the guy who has a career ahead of him. Not behind him.

I think I like Bisping also GW.
I definitely agree with your reasoning.
Silva Round 1 could be a nice hedge. He might just blast right through the Brit.

But I got to think the weight cut is hard for Wandi at this point. I don't think Bisping can stop him. But I think he take a decision.

Cain vs. Nog. Haven't been this excited for a main event in a long time.

I don't understand the people reasoning that Nog will control it with his boxing. NO WAY. Dude is old and slow with his shots.

Eventually this thing is hitting the ground. Cain has gotten every other guy down, and he is taking Nog down as well.

But the fight isn't over there. I'm not sure if Cain has ANY CLUE what to do if an arm or leg starts to tighten up in Nog's grip. I could easily see Cain dominating the first round, and then TAPPING LIKE THAT. Great sport. Things can turn SO FAST.

I was thinking of playing Velasquez straight and hedging with Nog ITD. But honestly, I could see this thing ending all 4 ways. Very tough call.

I haven't made up my mind yet. But I can't wait to see it.

i haven't looked too carefully at these yet but i'm looking at:

foster over lytle

foster is young and powerful and lytle is getting old and has a lot of wear and tear. lytle also just seems to want to make fights exciting and i think that will benefit an aggressive brawler like foster.

soszynski over bonnar

bonnar is dumb.

bader over jardine

bader's wrestling and sub defense should be enough, but his endurance is perhaps a liability.

looking forward to that one as well. nogueira has confused me a few too many times to come down on either side. cain surprised me against kongo as well and not entirely in a good way.
