GW, I agree with you and if I had to take someone today it would be Evans.

My problem is that I think Evans was losing to both Chuck and Forrest and then blasted both of them. Rampage has two times the chin that Forrest does and the current Chuck does. I also think Rampage's striking is better and quicker than both of those two guys so it makes me think that he can out strike Evans. IMO the Page vs Forrest fight was a let down fight for him and he wasn't prepared the way he should have been. I know, I know no excuses he lost.

GW, or anyone else for that matter I'm not sure if I'll have a real bet on the main event but if somone wants to have an avatar bet I'm down. I'll be taking Rampage.

I figure it's close odds wise and it's a big fight.

I am a Rampage fan, but I think this fight is Evans to lose.
If he fights smart then he should be able to win this. If he fights out of hatred then Rampage has a good chance.

I am not sold on the hatred between the two. It seems a little WWE-ish.
And what was that door made of on TUF that Rampage destroyed?Cardboard?
I mean come on that seemed gimmicky to me. I think Baroni could have torn that thing up.

yeah...tito did the same thing.....it`s almost a given that somebody whacks a door during tuf....

layin`...imo,forrest can`t break an egg....and his chin`s been had...he was outstruck by jardine... but was careful vs jackson...had a good gameplan...

jackson`s a powerful wrestler..i`m wondering if he`s powerful enough to offset evans` better wrestling pedigree and technique....

could be a huge part of how this plays out...

if rashad is to win i think it will have to be with his standup. quinton's takedown defence seems to be tailored for stopping doubles and singles, which is what rashad uses.

quinton stopped arona and randleman cold when they shot on his legs. however, when an opponent uses the clinch or adds a trip then he's not nearly as effective. several examples of such takedowns can be seen against minowa, dong, bustamante, henderson, and lindland.

he`ll have to worry a bit more about evans` sriking than those guys(with the exception of henderson)...

unless he`s softened up with kicks.....i don`t know why everybody didn`t see and learn from the griffin fight....i think the guy`s very stiff...

rampage is very beatable...he barely beat hendo(who`s very little at 205)...i think that last second knockdown pushed him over the edge..

Fights like the Rampage/Evans fight just reinforce how little I know about MMA. I thought Rashad would be a decent fave in this one, but he's actually plus odds? Should be a good fight nonetheless...

Another thing to take in to consideration is the A-team movie which is released on June 11th. Is Jackson thinking of upcoming media appearances with all the extra fame and not been fully concentrating on Rashad

That's exactly what I'm afraid of and why I'm waiting for the weigh ins. From what I've read Page is as heavy as he's ever been which means he's out of shape and it will be a BIG cut for him. I really think Rampage wins this if each fighter is at their best but I don't know if Page will be. If Evans coudln't have taken down Silva then I think he loses. I don't think he'll be able to take Page down and after watching his last 5 fights over again, I don't think he'll be able to out strike Page.

I can't really bet either guy with too much confidence at this point....

Evans did the waltz his last fight and was about a punch away from co-headlining some shitbird free card on Versus or Spike. He faces another dangerous puncher here that can do the same type of damage

However, If history tells us anything its that betting on a fighter coming off a layoff and pursuing Hollywood ambitions is a BAD, BAD thing (Lennox Lewis, Antonio Tarver, Cung Le, Andre Arlovski....)

I'll just watch this one and bet some of the undercard matches :0corn

Best of luck gentleman

rashad fought like a deer in headlights v machida

depends how much confidence he brings

but i think rampage has broken down rashad mentally during the show

rashad has much better chance of fighting skittish and losing

shows that jackson has some serious holes in his game...can`t defend kicks...and can`t get off his back...vs a non -wrestler...

btw...evans k.o.`ed griffin...and rampage "rested" his way to losing a u.d. to griffin...

the griffin fight was the blueprint for beating jackson...and evans can do exactly what griffin did..probably better...

he`s not as good at intimidation or woofing,
but personally,i have to lean to the quicker, more complete fighter....

but that`s me...
Cmon weasy u know very well that styles make fights. We just saw Steven beat Stout while there common opponent Lauzon, Stout beat but Stevens lost to. Im not knocking ur pick tho cause i think it is a toss up. I agree with ya with Rashard being quicker but he was quicker against Silva and almost lost and he was quicker than Machida and did lose. Silva that fight had three bad disc in his back and that is why he couldn't finish. I think the size is a problem in this fight for Rashard. Again im not knocking ur pick because if Rashad won i wouildnt be shocked. I still can't believe Rampage couldn't put Jardine away but then he knocks out Vandy cold  . Which Rampage is gonna show up? Oh and if u think Forrest won that joke of a fight ur nuts. Good luck with the fight i think i will sit that one out. I might go with that assasin Bisping and his new heavy hands :mj07:

Everyone did learn. They learned that Rampage learned how to check all the kicks everyone thought would work.

Makes ya wonder how much did that Machida knockout take out of Rashard. I don't think he finishes Rampage and Rashad, if it gets late, always seems to lose a lot down the stretch. I had him over Bisping and i was holding my breath those last two minutes. Same against Silva. Can he take out Rampage quick like he did Lidell and Forrest? I don't think so. Ill sit it out with u Cane.
