i`m a florian fan...he`s made me a good deal of money...he`s bank vs upper mid-level(albeit limited) gatekeepers like guida and stevenson...
but until he starts beating legit contenders...when he has a resume that shows wins over better quality...until he actually beats guys that have already clowned him(instead of just being given fantasy wins by "experts"),it`s all supposition...wishful thinking....
that`s all i`m saying....he can start by beating up maynard...he`s favored...he actually has a favorable situation at 155...he`s tall for the weight....he`s made for the weight(unlike sanchez).he`s bigger than most guys he fights...he`s just not very physically strong....that`s where he`s come up short...
i`m not a penn fan...and edgar`s reign will be a short one(undersized)....the time is right for florian...he`s 34..if he`s ever going to win a championship,he`d better get it going...
when he beats sanchez,then he`s better...we`ll have the proof...the first fight was at a higher weight..granted...but it wasn`t remotely competitive..i`ve seen penn be competitive vs bigger guys...edgar beats bigger guys on a regular basis(like in every fight at 155...btw,i like florian over edgar)...
florian has been carefully moved...he has to step up...right now...and it HAS to start with maynard...
but imo,sanchez` wrestling and natural size gives him an advantage over florian...
