HELL
Nice to Lauzon back and that was a smackdown, Toney laughing all the way to the bank, and BJ shine the surfboard you just might not have anywhere to go. Lastly, please don't ever let me watch a Maia fight again, Dana should cut his ass.

Mayweather can say whatever he want because he makes enough money he won't ever have to back it up

Bingo:00011

I got no respect with a person talking smack about fighting, but won't step in the cage. As I said, bash Toney all ya want at least he "stepped up":SIB

As for Noons.......ummmm his boxing is good, but nowhere close to a guy like Mayweather. Mayweather would smoke em. Not even close.

On the other hand Mayweather talks smack yet could you imagine if he fought any wrestler in MMA. He'd be on his feet for about 20 seconds.

Toney got into the cage because he don't have any real options in boxing. He made more tonight than he would in boxing. He's nothing more than a washed up hasbeen. Just like when Mercer was doing the MMA thing KO'ing Sylvia in the process.

True, no arguement there, but regardless, he did talk smack and get into the cage. Regardless of the reason, he did get into the cage.

And as said, Manny P or Mayweather could step into the cage and they would suffer the same result as Toney. They would get toyed with just like Toney did.

As said, who cares they are different sports. UFC guys would get killed in boxing. BTW- I have ZERO respect for Toney getting into the cage because he was just showing up for a paycheck.

Well suprise , suprise, a professional boxer not adept in takedown prevention, who gives a crap. Toney just needed the money. I think we should all be happy this was actually a bettable fight. I thought Couture inside was a free parlay partner and I'm sure there were some sharps here all over Couture in the 1st round.

"the bunker"
anybody else think yves lavigne waited around 3-4 seconds too long to extricate marcus davis from diaz` choke?....

he was looking right at it...grabbed his hand several times(totally limp) and kept waiting....

after a couple seconds the old lady started talking to the screen(he`s out !..stop it !)...i think diaz was talking to lavigne,too...

wonder what he was looking at?...dangerous move,imo...

I was thinking the same thing while watching it. Even the pressure of his face in that position (considering the damage to it) should have been reason enough for Yves to step in and end the fucker.

yeah...maybe he had a bad angle?(after re-watching it,that wasn`t an issue)....looked like he had a "kim winslow" moment...

best line:...at the press conference...they asked couture if toney said anything to him after the fight...couture responded.."he said 'good fight'...at least that`s what i think he said".......

lol

Grabbed me a 3-0 night. :00hour
+265 on Edgar.
+55 on Couture by sub.

And the big one:
+1 avatar wager on Thong. :142smilie

I will go easy on Thong and let him dump the Kimbo but give him a reminder of why he lost.

Only difference is that you have had some boxers "run their mouth" saying they'd step into the cage and "bash an MMA fighter".

I can't ever recall an MMA fighter saying they could beat Mayweather.

Are you kidding me?
I have heard KJ Noons say over and over again about wanting to box Mayweather(not trash him though) and I have heard Nick Diaz COUNTLESS times say he wants and would destroy Mayweather in boxing.

I have heard plenty of other MMA guys act like they can go over to boxing and excel. Need some examples:Anderson Silva and Arlovski come to mind real quick.

Everyone thinks just because you are good at your sport then you can do someone elses.
Need some examples:
James Toney in mma
Michael Jordan in baseball.
How about the show Shaq Vs. (He losses everyone and gets a handicap in most to boot).

And as for James Toney stepping up. He is outed in boxing and rumors are he is flat broke. He would not have stepped up if he was offered $100k as he was not in UFC to prove any point like he said he was.

I didn't watch one fight even on replay, I just read Sherdogs recap.

Lost a little money this event!

I have to send congrats Kegrays way. You stuck to your guns on Frankie and making an avatar bet on that big of a dog is just a straight big balls play. Good job man!

This one event I can say was hardly worth watching.

I did stick to my guns just wish I had bigger trust in Edgar. My lean was to add with Edgar by decision for +385 but I have been doing poorly in other sports and didn't want anymore on the table.
Also loved Maynard by decsion +190 as I said earlier but didn't pull the trigger.
A scared bettor is a loser.

olddirtyfighter....kicked some ass......very well done....wow:scared

Thnx Kick & Weasel :toast:

That ref Lavigne seems like a decent guy but for a second I thought killed poor Davis. I was scared as hell! It's not the first time that guy messed a stoppage.

Oh, and how in the world was Couture -500???

What's going to be horrible is the fact that Maynard is going to be the next champ and will bore us for years to come. For the heavier weight divisions I'm not sure it matters as much because of the power the big guys have but IMO wrestling is going to either kill or really hold back the growth the UFC wants. GSP is dominant but his fights have become very boring because of his style. Maynard is going to be hard for anyone to beat as well. I'm not sure how but they need to change the scoring system. I can handle getting point for taking someone down but after that if you're not aggressive then I say you get no more points and if the guy on bottom is the aggressive fighter then I think he should get the points thus negating the take down. I also think there should be points given for stuffing the take down.

Maynard is one of the most boring mma fighters on the planet.
The rematch of him and Edgar is nothing I care to really see and Dana is already doing damage control on how boring it is going to be.

The first meeting was boring and it was only 3 rounds.

The 155 pound class is in a serious dead spot right now even though it has very solid skill guys the matchups are pretty boring.

not flaming you, but your handle "MayorgaFan" is ironic because Ricardo to me is the biggest culprit of just taking a paycheck.

Really? Since when? He's not that good but he certainly puts up a good effort when he gets into the ring. My handle came from the fact that he won me a lot of money against Forrest, 2 times.
