GW.........the fight sucked.......
GSP had one eye for 3 rounds.
And yet Shields did nothing.
Shields is the one to blame for the fight sucking......
Shields is a joke.
A fucking joke.
Just terrible performance from Shields.
GSP should have finished him even though he had one eye.
Shields didn't win one minute of the fight....not one minute.
GSP was in complete control and bored out of his mind .

he was afraid to stay on top...:0002 ...couldn`t get his ass out of there fast enough...
Certainly not a good fight, but have to say none of GSP's are entertaining. He is great, does what he has to for a win, afterall that is what this is all about. He doesnt take any chances, but he doesnt have to he is the champ. As for p4p, and the superfight with Silva, not happening. Oh, and that was not a poke, it was a right hand punch to the eye. Im surprised Jake didnt try to get this to the ground more often with a sense of urgency, for that matter I think he might have tried once. Im surpised Nick Diaz didnt come running into the ring afterwards to talk some trash.
He isn't in there to fight at other peoples strengths. those type of idiots aren't usually champions. He took ur so called elite wrestler down two or three times. Why should he fight at jakes one and only strength. he gave him a chance with two takedowns and Jake did nothing. Jake should of taken him down but he couldn't.

So Since Shields wasn't good enough to get a TD, GSP was supposed to take him down and lay on him? Try to give Shields the only chance he had? That doesn't seem very smart.

i`m not disputing who won...i`m disputing everyone blaming shields for a boring fight...gsp was the one on the backfoot...gsp refused to grapple...
and gsp`s face looked like hamburger after 5 rounds of stand-up with a guy that i`d bet my ass i could beat in a boxing match...i bet i could knock shields out....and i`m no kid.....
you`re smarter than this(or so i thought)...everyone is blaming shields for a boring fight...
gsp fought not to lose.....theres no reason why gsp shouldn`t have destoyed shields in a stand-up fight...

The fact that I saw GSP's blood shocked me. He might not have done more damage, but the damage he did had more "effect" (atleast on me). Not in terms of winning the fight, but in terms of GSP as a "legend".
The first round he looked amazing, I don't know what the fuck he was thinking when he came out in round 2. Then he gets a mouse and has a hissy fit his corner has to calm him down, I knew then he wouldn't finish.
The other week moreales fought off crazy ass maidana for all those rounds with a swelling that was much worse. Every fight its something different with him, like he pulled his groin in the alves fight. wtf.
that was some finale after watching aldo/hominick....
gsp is better that what we saw tonight....
that was not a good performance...
I am not discrediting GSP in anyway, great fighter, but damn most of my crew here watching these fights all left with saying 'its going to be tough to pay for a PPV again when GSP is headlining the main event unless undercard is stacked' because his fights just arent entertaining. His job is to win, not please me or any of us, but certainly not entertaining to sit through and quite boring.
Yeah.........Dana should apologize for having GSP fight this over-rated joke of a fighter named Shields.

Ahhh some little insults but I don't really care. GSP won every round and fight smart. I guess you think he should have opened up and risked getting taken down or taken Shields down so he had a chance to win. It's not GSP's fault that Shields is absolutely worthless standing up. Safe or not, a win is a win. Dumb fighters don't last long. If you don;t see that you aren't to savy.
